Sprinting

I've started to worry about sprinting and how it is going to be implemented. Is it going to be "You can sprint for 5 seconds with a cool down of 15 seconds" or will it link in with stamina in which you can only sprint for a while before that drains your stamina to a point where you can't sprint any more but may still be able to jog or possibly just walk.

What's there to worry about? Now when that troll is chasing you and you have to run, it'll be more than just a light jog now. You'll actually be able to run away. I like that they got rid of the back up thing too. Makes the sense of fight or flight a lot more real, now that you can't do both at the same time.

It drains stamina, which seems to refill over time like magicka. Every level you choose to boost either max magicka or max stamina. Should be a fun system, especially if there's an athletic perk related to it. :)

The GI magazine says that sprinting expends stamina, so I suppose it's directly linked with stamina.

In that case I am entirely happy and have nothing but positive words to say about bethesda.

Sprinting and turning will look rad with Havok animation blending. If there's cloth physics this will be even more great.

Well stamina (fatigue) has always refilled over time. Also, you choose between health, magicka and stamina when you level up.

Sprinting won't allow you to get away from every fight, you have to realize that the enemies can sprint too.

For more info about sprinting and Skyrim in general, go http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1158506-skyrim-information-compilation/ and after reading the info, post your thoughts so that we can keep the thread on the front page. Also, you can leave any questions you have that need clarification there as well.

More likely linked to Stamina. That way there is one more benefit to boosting Stamina instead of Health or Magicka on level up.
