Why aren't I able to squad with certain people in my friend list? Is anyone else having this problem and if so are they working on fixing it?

This happens to me sometimes. It seems to be 2 separate problems. #1 you or your friend that you can't join, has a bad NAT type. #2 I'm not sure what to make of it, but i have 2 friends who appear on my C3 online list in a different way than the other players. It says they are in TDM or just in a lobby, but the text is bold (not the normal look) and i can't join or invite. . I'm not sure what causes it and it doesn't happen all the time. But it seems to happen with only 2 of my friends. I still end up seeing them in a random game i play even though i couldn't join them deliberately .
