Stalhrim axe? : V

In http://pcmedia.ign.com/pc/image/article/120/1200474/the-elder-scrolls-v-skyrim-20111014041717572.jpg, the hero appears to be holding an axe with a blade made of ice. Could it be a Stalhrim axe? Another possibility is that it's a Glass axe that looks blue because of the lighting.

It looks solid to me, if it was ice or glass it would have some semblance of opacity to it. As for the lightning, looks like it's coming from the ceiling lighting.

The hero's axe looks nordic, could be stahlrim, hard to say.

the Draugr's looks like ebony. the lighting ti making it hard to judge.

looking again I think you're right, the way the blade is staggered and edged, I think that could be ice or glass.

It seems glass axe for me. Theres same style plot between helve and edge than is seen on glass swords blade http://images.uesp.net/0/03/SR-prerelease-2011-04-01-3.jpg
Also the glass sword seems rather blue inside dungeon on one of the gameplay videos.

Well Glass has lots of Elven influence. And for some reason it really does look like Glass to me, though I can't quite put my finger on it.

People think it's the glass axe... Not saying you're wrong, but the majority thinks differently than you.

It could be a Stalhrim axe but I think the ambient colour of the room is making it look blue. The design looks more elven to me.
I dont think its glass because glass is supposed to be green, unless you can get it in different colours or is transparent/translucent .

Now that I look at the actual blade areas of the axe it does look somewhat transparent. I think I might lean toward glass more now.

Looks glass to me too. When you look at the blade up close it looks to be a collection of shards arranged in an arc, rather than one smooth solid piece of material.

It DOES look like some sort of opaque glass, like an Obsidian axe. We know that Obsidian is used in real life as a cutting instrument, and has the sharpest edge possible(right beside diamond) of any material.

Perhaps?
