Definitely. It still feels like the original game but it adds improvements everywhere: Better graphics, sounds, AI, less bugs, etc. Which makes it different from other overhauls like Oblivion Lost which really overhauls the whole gameplay.

I'm very much enjoying CoP Complete right now too.

Same here. My computer would never be able to run the games. I feel like I'm missing out. From what I've seen, the series has the potential to be one of my favorites. {SNIP}

This. This game looks so cool but I just don't have a gaming rig to handle it. :( Atmosphere in these games looks amazing.

If I download 2009, will I need to restart the game, or can I continue from my current save?

I just noticed that the gallery on Imgur won't easily show you the full sized screenshots. You have to go to Image Options and select 'view full image' to get the full image. :whistling:

Stalker is an awesome game! I really loved the entire thing, except how easy it was, and it's never fully translated. They also have a odd running thing with misnaming weapons, but that doesn't bother me much because it's such an easy fix for mods.

Those images remind me of the one issue I have with Atmosfear: It takes so bloody long to get dark, which results in it being dark only for a very short time.

Yeah I don't think it gets dark until 21:00 or something?

Wow mine doesn't look like that.

I'm using Stalker Complete mod which comes with DoF and SSAO. My personal tweaks, if you're interested:

r2_gloss_factor 3r2_ls_bloom_kernel_g 6.6r2_ls_bloom_kernel_scale 2r2_ls_bloom_threshold 0.665

Gloss combined with bloom works almost like Crysis 2. It is nice to see different materials having different gloss factors. Metal looks like metal and light direction is also taken into account.

I read that tonemapping isn't recommended but I like to use it.
r2_tonemap onr2_tonemap_middlegray 0.33

You can tweak user.ltx file or just use console to enter those as commands. Don't forget to backup original files and settings.

I am also tweaking shadow and object lod but it behaves a little weird. I will post them when I finish tweaking.

At 2100 for me it's still light as day. It can't be called 'dark' until 2300.

Both armors work really. I'm just saying I never really needed it (SEVA that is) again after I got my Svarog.

I miss blue-tinted night vision. It was so much easier to use.

oh hell......ive beaten the game with the sunrise suit on master level......except for the tunnels where you need the seva suit to survive the gas. i did die from time to time but its more fun when you stick to the lower level armor like the military vests etc. once you get the exosuit its almost impossible to die unless you screw up big time. hopefully they make anomalies more dangerous in STALKER 2. i was using a mod that greatly increased their damage to the point of killing you instantly in anything less than a fully upgraded SEVA and it made the anomalies to be feared. kind wish complete had put that in as well.
