Ah. Sorry, I assumed most were familiar since the mod has had several topics since as far back as april both here, on The Nexus, Escapist and ModDB. But here's a plot overview:

Akir Rond, a necromancer and murderer of renown, gets his hands on the Materium Ignis - a deadly artifact of tremendous power - from the priests of the Sumerset Isles. The artifact, intended for the battle against the horrible Sload, robs creatures and mer of their souls and use it to further power the artifact.

Shortly after Akir Rond reached Cyrodiil, a group of vigilantes managed to take him in custody, but not without a fight. The artifact however, was nowhere to be found, but after the scuffle Akir slipped into a coma...
The vigilantes who call themselves the "Heralds of the Fall" infirmed the necromancer just across the border to Hammerfell in an ancient Ayleid complex. Not long after, they contacted Henantier of Bravil, an esteemed member of the mage's guild and pioneer of dreamwalking magic.
With Henantier's help, they are about to send in the hero who once saved Henantier from his own dream... You.

Navigating the dreams, nightmares and memories of one of the most wicked men to ever live is no small feat. Especially when the host's health starts to wane....

Hehe thanks! I just realized though, that my voice actor had managed to write a better synopsis than me:

Darkshines: The Lonely Journey is the first part of the Darkshines series, which will be continued in a longer mod for Skyrim. It takes place in the dreams and memories of a dying Dunmer necromancer named Akir Rond. You must enter into his comatose mind to find an artifact he hid in his flight from the law. You will solve puzzles, make difficult decisions, and fight the evils in Akir's mind.
