Standard-ratio(4:3, 5:4) support?

Any way to make these work properly?

Setting a custom resolution in the config works well, except lockpicks don't display at all and the power-armor's HP gauge is cut-off.

Please for the love of god sort this out, all your previous games supported 4:3 resolutions, why doesnt this? its even usign the same [censored] engine ffs. I know 4:3 and 5:4 resolutions seem strange, but due to a nuerological contion i have, i cant use modern flat screens, and widescreen CRT montiors are ultra rare. Im seriously angry you were too lazy to add support for these ratios, shame on your bethesda.

BTW, to the OP, where can i set custom resolution, i see no option for that?

I was able to get it sorted by editing the Fallout4Prefs config file generated in \Documents\My Games\Fallout4

That sorted it so it runs ok, but i worry about strethed/cut off ui in areas, liek the mentioned lockpicking, we'll soon see. Hope this doesnt cause me any problems. But atleast i can paly until the devs properly support our screen ratios. I cant believe that almost all games support my ratio, wwther they be AAA developers or Indie. THis is only 1 or 4 games ive ever played in my life that didnt. And from a AAA developer with wads of cash laying around, they didnt think to add a few extra supported ratios. Its a shame really, i though better of them than that

yeha, as op states, teh lockpick screen is completly hidden. I have had to resort to cheating, openign up the console, click the locked door/box etc, and use teh command unlock. Id rather ahev not resorted to cheating, but i dont have much choice

Seriously, did they really think everyone has 16:9 monitors? This is just stupid.

all that needs sortign, is for them to resize the UI, everythign else seems fine. Funny thing is, skyrim catered perectly for 4:3 resolutions, and that only came out, what 4 years ago, so why did they think if people wanted 4:3 then, they wouldnt want it now. Its a easy fix, but it shoudlnt need fixing, they should have sorted it out before hand, Triple A games should give better support that this.

Same problem here, I have a 5:4 monitor. If I change the config to run fullscreen on 1280x1024 many UI elements are missing, lockpicking is completely invisible. If I use any of the standard settings via launcher it's all in some really small window. Can't really play the game as it is now. Please add support for those resolutions.

Me too. Please at least let the ui be on the screen in 4:3, even if we have to add custom resolutions in the game .ini files
