I don't know, I kinda liked having the fatigue drain while running. Maybe it could happen slower, but still. I mean, you can just run forever without tiring, but if you swing your sword a couple of times suddenly you're tired?
I agree with this, honestly. Stamina ("fatigue" as Beth so ridiculously called it - glad they're finally fixing that) burns up a bit too fast in Morrowind, but it's ludicrous that it doesn't burn up at all when you're running in Oblivion. You could run literally forever and still have maximum stamina. That's just wrong. If we want to presume an astonishingly healthy person, then arguably it should take hours to use up the stamina, but there should be a limit somewhere.
And yeah - they treated it exactly the opposite in combat, which was just as ridiculous. I can run for 237 straight hours without losing any stamina, but I stop and take a single swing with a sword and a fourth of it vanishes instantly?
