Star sign monoliths?

Post » Wed Apr 14, 2010 12:23 pm

On the way to Bruma I found the star sign monolith for the thief star sign. It asked me if I wanted to go the way of the thief...

Does anyone know what this does? For example should I only pick one star sign? Or should I find ALL the monoliths? I am the serpent do I need to find the serpent monolith?

Thanks

http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Runestone Basically they give you a power (spell). you can only have one power at a time. the don't change your birthsign.

There's three types of those monoliths: one type is called a Runestone and the other two types are called Doomstones. Doomstones come in two varieties: ones like you found, that relate to the birthsigns, and the other Doomstones which relate to other celestial things, for example Shezzar. You can take all the powers of the second type, but of the first type you can only choose one of them. Personally I recommend the one you found, I think; the one I'm referring to is on the southern shore of Lake Rumare.

The Runestones provide you with a bound weapon and armor item for a short time. They can only be used once per type per day, and there's three types. Each type gives a different weapon and armor item.
