Maybe Snoke wasnt always a bad guy? Maybe people kept screwing with him about his name and that sent him into darkness.... Ever think about that?

You do realize that pretty much ALL of the SW films follow the same formula or at least a similar one? Young person on desolate planet reluctantly sets off on a life changing adventure, they discover they are Force sensitive, they have an older figure who mentors them in some way, that older figure is killed, they find a second figure to mentor them, there is a damsel in distress, they blow up some giant space station that is a threat. I , IV and VII follow this pattern. Why are people singling out VII for this? It's ridiculous!
