I like SWTOR a lot. I too am a single-player gamer at heart and I play TOR as though it were a huge single-player game. I don't group or do PvP and I don't pay attention to what players write in chat. If an area feels crowded (as many do right now during double XP week) I switch to a different character and find a spot that doesn't feel crowded. I tend to imagine other players as NPCs with wildly unpredictable AI.
Your choice of races depends on whether you are a subscriber or playing for free. You have many more options (in all areas of the game) as a subscriber. But a free player can unlock most of these options (including races) with cash, if you care to.
I love the stories and the characters in the game. I find it very interesting to go through all of the class main quests and piece together the overall story from the bits and pieces we see in the class quests.
Personally I don't think most of the planets feel like hallways. Most of them feel pretty open-world-ish to me. But they are not as open or as large as Bethesda's games. A few of them, like Hoth or Tatooine, are large and expansive enough to need a speeder or some other mount to get around. It can take awhile to travel on foot on a few of these planets.
It's free, so you have nothing to lose. I'd say give it a try. I loved KotOR 1 and there are moments (especially on planets like Taris) when the game feels a bit like KotOR 3 to me.
Another of my complaints, The races (and future races) are recolored humans! With Sith-Pureblood and Cathar being the only slightly alien options. As a free user you'll get Human, Cyborg and Zabrak as playable options unless that changed.
Most of my characters are Cathar and Purebloods.
Recently finished watching TFA again. I think it hovers around being slightly better and slightly worse than ROTJ (mostly due to it being a retreat), but light years ahead of the PT. Well, at least none of it was forced, particularly the acting. Some decent lines and acting there. One thing's for sure though, they'd best start with some seriously NEW material with the next one, or else they could lose me again. One question though, in one part of the movie Baby Vader starts thumping his chest. Why?
I found Chewie to be about the best character in the movie.

Sith Pureblood is my favorite species.
I heard about comments made by Lucas, where he said about the fans not liking the PT because all we want are space battles? I believe he made a similar comment when he saw TFA? Is this a case of him kinda showing a, "They don't like my scripts 'cause all they want are space battles" strop? From what people have said, including his ex, he tends to be a tad over sensitive and defensive when it comes to his work. He kinda shows a, "I'm a generous! I'm fantastic!" attitude if everything's going great and if everyone agrees with him, but he gets into a baby strop and blames everyone else if things go the other way. Seems he even blames the punters for not liking his work too! Explains why he recently said he hates ESB, because most people love it and it's the film he had least to do with. Not sure, but am I describing a prime example of a narcissist here?
He actually said that about ESB? ESB was the best Star Wars film ever made, it's what made me a fan of the films. But yes, I do believe you are describing a narcissist.
He didn't actually give those reasons, nor that he "hates" it, but he said that it's the worst film of the series, which practically is saying that he hates it. He must know that most punters and critics love the movie, so it comes across as sour graqes on his part.

Yes, but art shouldn't primarily be about money. Profit should be a welcomed bonus of art. I know that's easy for me to say, seeing that I'm not putting millions of my own money into it, but seeing that it did make the money back he should recognise its great strengths as a movie, not just slam it because of its initial takings and criticisms. Blade Runner and Tron were hated at first as well, but both have been seen as great movies as time's gone by, just like ESB has. Worst takings, not worst film, something Lucas doesn't seem to understand. As others have said on the Net, quite a bit of jealousy is undoubtedly behind the comment. He's a control freak, one with a child like personality, and ESB was way out of his control with far less humour than he wanted, unlike all the other movies.
