Pretty sweet, I was (re)playing my first placement match, and then I get dropped right when I'm about to win. Awesome. I'm not even going to try playing until this get fixed, because I've been reading on Battle.net's forums, and this is happening to a lot of people, along with severe lag.

Just played 3 games with no lag/drop issues, seems like they might have fixed it.

Also, I just got promoted to Platinum, yay!

You are in the 2nd best league now! :P

No more copper, but there is a new diamond league. Just sayin, if you didn't know.

Yeah, I know. I am definitely not diamond league material. But still, cooler than hanging out right in the middle; at least now I know I'm above average.

*edit* Although I'm going for the beta crusher achievement, which means I have to get some wins as Zerg, which means I'm probably going to get bumped back down to gold soon. I svck at Zerg.

Yeah, the Zerg are IMO the toughest race to master. But can be very effective.

Also I hate how you have to add someone using their email now...What ever happened to using plain usernames.

I can tell this is true because they keep kicking my :spotted owl: , but I sure haven't gotten them to work yet. I think it's probably because they're the hardest race to cheese with. The only way to do effective early harrassment as a middling-bad zerg player is to rush lings, and that'll cripple your economy way more than reaper harrass or 2-gate pressure seem to.

I'll figure something out, I just have to lose a lot first.

Woot, got my five zerg wins without dropping leagues. Lost a bunch, but that's okay.

Mutas are pretty good. And 6lings are funny.

Just watched that. Sounds funny. Seems like it'd probably be effective for people (like me) who aren't good enough to multitask both micro and macro well for the player who's doing micro (Husky in that game) to let his allies do his macro for him. Does shared unit control let you build stuff at your buddy's buildings?

I would think so but not sure. I think it only allows control over your allies units. But it definitely is a good strat. I mean I'm a pretty good macro player but terrible at micro.

Well I just got done playing one last good game. Wont be around to buy it when it comes out, im leaving for the Marines tomorrow. Need to get some sleep before im off. But I just had a pretty epic game, Terran v. Terran, I was focusing on ground units more while the other player was focused on air. Eventually won when he didnt have any anti-air and I decided to build air.

Whats a money map?

A map in which your minerals and vesphane are unlimited, they're stacked on top of each other and they are incredibly close to your command center/hive/nexus.

It makes for super fast game play and massing of large forces. No expansions are required as there are enough resources in your base.

EDIT: I just played one with 5 other people. Man they're SO bad. I think I've gotten too used to play strategically. :P

:celebration:

HDH Invitational was sweet, but I was sad that (3rd place match spoiler) TLO lost.

From the same commentators, here's my favorite game of SC2 I've seen so far:

This ranking system is so broken. I'm in the 1v1 bronze league yet I play someone whose in the silver league. Wut...

Also it's too bad that everyone in this game believe it's all about rushing..

Does anyone else dislike the revamp of the dark templar? In Starcraft 1 they were depicted as honorable assassins, ragged in clothes; they were more like Zeratul. Now they're scythe wielding, mean faced dark knight looking guys.

I mean, I can't imagine the actual plot of the game is going to portray them too much differently from SC1...that whole "persecuted but honorable assassin" mystique is really all there is to the DTs. As to their looks, I think they look pretty sweet now.

No, my problem with the DT revamp is that they become normal Archons now.

Some thoughts on Battle.net 2.0

It's a long video but some of the things Blizzard is doing is ridiculous.

I actually watched that last night. He makes excellent points, and it really makes you wonder what the hell Blizzard is doing.

Yeah, lol. They're so cute. :P

But I mean having region locked games where you can't play with any europeans if you're american. That's just dumb.

Also no LAN play and chat rooms is a big negative. I'm hoping Blizzard will fix it.

I am addicted to BattleCraft.

Just had an epic 29 minute match. First 27 minutes was pretty evenly matched. I did have to save my ally with an armageddon and I gave him overall a couple thousand minerals. The last 2 minutes decided the end. I massed air and took down my opponent. Tried ground before, the 500 mineral Immortals + Colossus, but he also had some defence units. After he was down, the next dropped damn quickly. Most of my air units survived and went on to his base. He masses Marines, I armageddoned, he managed to kill my guys, my team-mate had sent in loads of Lings and Colossus, I sent Mutas as backup. BLAM! Victory thanks to me.
