Stars In The Night Sky - Final Chapter

Post » Sun Sep 23, 2012 7:31 pm

This RP is set after the coming of Alduin. It is a time of great change in Tamriel. The Empire has entered its final death throws in the Heart of Tamriel, while the fringes of the great land fall into chaos. An ancient leader of the Dunmer has returned to restore his people to their rightful place as rulers of Morrowind, and the Daedric Princes are starting to take sides.

But that is not all of the story, for an old thief who long ago left his adventuring days has had his child stolen from him. Now, with the help of an old friend, they shall seek to find his son.

And stuck in the middle is an Imperial slowly being corrupted by both the power of Mephala, the Webspinner, and a strange old Altmer who recently sent a manifesto to the gods.

Go away, we no longer need you.

This is a time of hardship and chaos.

A time of Heroes and Villains.

This is not an adventure solely on Tamriel.

No.

Now even the STARS IN THE NIGHT SKY have become a part of this war.

Oh, and we really don't like to follow these rules, so if you don't like rules, but like to RP, then this is a great place to come.

*Well, okay, we do have SOME limits, thought those really only come down to the Forum's limits and regulations.*

Belan Indarys: speaking in Light Cyan. Currently Deceased

Spoiler

Name: Belan Indarys
Gender: Male
Race: Dunmer
Age: 247
Birthsign: The Lady
Bio: Belan is the former Prince of Morrowind, and the Nerevarine. For two hundred years he has wandered the world seeking forgiveness for what he did to the people that he had fought to protect. Ever since his father, Hlaalu, died in the frozen lands of Solstheim, he has sworn he would find a way to restore his people.
Belan Indarys is old, but he is not helpless. He is a blademaster, and even at the advanced age of 247, he can still wield his Daedric Katana with amazing grace. Still, he must walk with a staff, but there is a fire in his eyes, especially whenever he speaks of Morrowind, longing to see Mournhold, the city of light, once again.
He is, well, a realist. Two centuries of hardship have tempered his spirit, and he knows the world is not a friendly place.
He has white hair tied in a long braid that stretches down to his shoulders tied at the end by a string with two feathers. His face is very wrinkled, but you can still see the tattoo of the Urshilaku Ashlanders, and though he is beginning to go blind, and his eyes are turning a milky white, you can still see that his eyes once shown a brilliant red.
He fights with only one sword, and wears little armor, preferring to stay on the offense than count on pieces of metal on his chest. All he wears is a tattered, ash-stained cloak, and a once finely made robe that has faded with age.
Even after all this time though, he still believes in honor in battle.
Now he has reclaimed his throne, and is he leading the Dunmer in a war to reclaim Morrowind.

Quirinus Latartus: Speaks in Light Green

Spoiler

Gender: Male
Race: Imperial
Birthsign: The Lady
Grew up on the harsh, unforgiving streets of late Third Age Imperial City. From an early age, he learned how to manage himself, and he learned that good and evil are sometimes hard to distunguish. In 3E 427, he was arrested and sent to Morrowind to help the blades defeat Dagoth Ur. However, on a mission to Ilunibi, he got Corprus, and fell to Dagoth Ur's power, and became one of his servants. Quirinus swiftly rose in the service of his new master, eventually becoming the Later that year though, the Nerevarine destroyed the Heart of Lorkhan, killing all of Dagoth Ur's minions as well as himself.
Azura spared Quirinus though, seeing that he could be useful to her. So, she cursed him with immortality until he could forever put his mark on Tamriel.
At first, Quirinus was happy with this curse, believing it to be a blessing. Still though, he tried to do good to redeem himself for the evil he had done while working for Dagoth Ur. That is how he came to be arriving to Anvil on a fateful day, and met a raving lunatic that set him on a path that would culminate in him becoming the Divine Crusader. However, as he did this, he was overshadowed by Caraulus, the Champion of Cyrodiil, and Hero of Kvatch. Because of this great hero, no one ever remembered Quirinus' brave stand with the Emperor and the Champion at Bruma, or how he lead the Knights of the Nine to victory against Umaril the Unfeathered.
After the fall of the Empire, Quirinus faded out of all history, retiring to a rural farm in Hammerfall, to spend an enternity farming and living, hoping for the day that fate would look his way.
He fought for Chancellor Ocato in the Imperial City as Titus Mede announced himself the new Emperor, and when the infernal Isle arrived, he was one of the many heroes trying to defeat it.
However, each time he tried to gain fame and save the day, someone else always did. Titus Mede won the day in Imperial City, and Prince Attrebus defeated the Infernal Isle.
Now, he is a wandering Crusader who, along with his faithful knights, are assisting Belan to liberate Morrowind.

Charon: Speaks in Medium Blue
Spoiler

Name: Charon.
Age: Unknown, estimated to be in late twenties.
Race: Imperial
Class: Night Blade Assassin
Birth Sign: Thief
Hair: Shoulder length, black
Eyes : Dark blue almost charcoal
Weapons: From his past travels (in previous RP threads) he has Gold Brand and Ebony Mail. He also has a black steel wakazashi that he uses for close stealth kills and dual wielding with Gold Brand. He has a bow and quiver that he keeps on his back as well as few throwing knives.

Spells: As for spells I had a knack for alteration, illusion, destruction and a little restoration. I'm no mage but if used in the right ways the most basic spells can be handy. My main ones I use are invisibility, chameleon, fire, water breathing, night eye, basic healing (just enough to help with minor cuts, stabs, and other injuries so don’t ask me to put your intestines back in and seal it shut, I'm not that good), and some stamina and fatigue fortification for a pick me up during the long tracks and battles.

Bio: I am Charon, I was orphaned at a young age of 6 when my parents were killed by a clan of vampires. We were setting up camp when we were attacked. My father tried to fend them, actually killing a few of them, but he fell to a blade through the chest. My elder brother was helping him in the fray and managed to kill a couple himself. But they soon swarmed him and as they left him and came for me and my mother I saw his limp body torn and broken upon the ground. My mother set me just inside the tent that they had just set up and began to charge up fire in her hands. she managed to kill three of the 10 remaining but they decapitated her only a few feet from me. As they turned towards me I could see them and the endless hunger in their eyes, I knew I was going to die, and then something in me seemed to awaken. I don’t remember much after that, after the realizing something within me had changed but when my memory picked up again I was surrounded by a band of gypsy traders who were in complete shock. I looked at my hands, and then my arms and body, and then all the way to my feet. There didn't seem to be a spot on me that wasn't covered in ash or blood.

As they travelled to the nearest town they're trackers returned in disbelief. They wouldn't let me listen in but from what I could gather they had tracked me back to the camp I came from, which was about 2 days from where they had found me. All that remained of the camp were the trees everything else was burnt to an ash. Even my family was barely there.

I was soon adopted by a Lord in Cyrodiil who had his own personal band of assassins, from what I learned, he had picked up and adopted and were trained from a high ranking Dark Brotherhood defector. Though we were assassins we learned many different arts. Everything from archery, to hand to hand combat, to swordsmanship, to studies of magicka and how to wield various spells. Our leader believed it was best to know a little of everything so to best be utilized in any situation.

Maximillian: Speaks in Orange
Spoiler

Gender: Male
Race: High Elf
Birthsign: The Mage
Sorceror, Wizard, Necromancer

Maximillian wears the robes of a high ranking Psijic Mage and has short, brown hair. He is very well groomed, but has a small beard. His eyes are a very strong golden yellow.

Abandoned on the Artaeum in 3E 325, the high elf Maximillian (last name unknown even to himself) was raised as a Psijic wizard, and by 3E 390 had become one of the most powerful wizards of the order. However, it was around this time that Maximillian began to research the forbidden art of Necromancy, fascinated by the incredible powers harnessed by the Worm King Mannimarco.

Maximillian managed to sit out the darkness of the Imperial Simulacrum in his safe position as a member of the Psijic order, but he was supremely interested in the methods that Jagar Tharn used to imprison Uriel Septim. After the Dragon Break in Hammerfall and High Rock, Maximillian was reportedly, "disheartened" by the disappearance of Mannimarco. In 3E 420, he was discovered, and was cast out of the order, and declared an exile from the lands of the altmer. Shortly afterward, as he drank away his sorrows in a bar in Anvil, he was arrested by Hannibal Traven, a young and up and coming wizard trying to find a way of becoming the head of the Anvil Mage's Guild.

For the next seven years, he rotted in the Imperial Prison, formulating escape and revenge schemes. Then, in 3E 427, a break! Maximillian was set free and sent to Morrowind with orders to see Caius Cosades. After burning the note in his hands after leaving Seyda Neen, Maximillian quickly joined the Telvanni, the only magical faction that had no qualms with necromancy, and other decidedly dark arts. Maximillian swiftly rose through the ranks of the Telvanni, due to his Machiavellan political strategies. After barely three months in the Great House, he was appointed the Mouth of Master Aryon, and after the next two, was made a Master of the Telvanni.

Around this time, a Maximilian heard of a mysterious Dark Elf named Belan Indarys, and immediately took interest. This Dark Elf was apparently trying to fulfill the Nerevarine Prophecy, and was, against all odds and reason, actually succeeding.

When Belan Indarys came to Sadrith Mora to adress the council, Maximillian arranged a private meeting with this young hero. While no one knows what these two future greats discussed in this meeting, the results were undeniable. The next day, Gothern was in a pool of his own blood, Maximillian was Archmagister, and Belan Indarys had been appointed Hortator. This alliance between the Nerevarine and the Archmagister would continue to flourish as both grew in power.By the end of 3E 427, Maximillian had assasinated Duke Dren and the head of the East Empire Company, replacing them with with pro-Telvanni puppets, survived several assasination attempts, established four new Telvanni settlements, created a Telvanni consolate in Ebonheart, and helped Belan Indarys, now revealed as the illegitimate son of King Helseth, become the new Prince of Morrowind.

Now with official government support, the Telvanni managed to take over all of Vvardenfall, placing Maximillian in the odd position of having more power than the Duke of Vvardenfall. For 5 years, he held this post, until Frathen Drothan staged a military coup with the help of his Drothmeri Army. After Frathen left for Cyrodiil with fancies of conquest, Maximillian regained control of the Telvanni, and began to rebuild the ruins of Vvardenfall following the Oblivion Crisis, becoming the shadow ruler of the entire island.

Now, he has ascended to CHIM (a form beyond gods and mortals) and has not taken much of an interest in mortal affairs, but that can easily change...

They had been put in charge of keeping the Ministry of Truth from crashing into Vvardenfell (I have no clue if I spelled that right) and they did, for a time, but when Maximillian and Dalam were told that they had to use their own souls to keep it up they blatantly refused. Maximillian had blocked this event from his memory and believed it to be a Daedra’s fault. Dalam is the only one who knows this and has finally started seeking out his old master. He has usurped Belan and claimed the throne of Morrowind.
Allegiance: Maximillian

Drake Cassamir: Speaks in Dark Slate Grey

Age: appears to be in late twenties - very early thirties

Clothing: Wears a darkened steel plate armor that increases his power, but makes him unable to disobey Mephala, without removing the armor.
Equipment:
Primary: Deciet: An Elven Blade that morphs from shortsword to Longsword at the wielders will.
Secondary: A Dwarven crossbow made to puncture through armor.

Miscellaneous Items: Arrows, throwing knives, and other small weapons.

Personality: Has immense bloodlust (most likely due to his daedric blood), tries his best to assist others, cares about his Friends.
Major Flaw: Incredibly power-hungry, he would do anything to become an Aedra or Daedra (perhaps even try to kill one  )
Background:
Drake unknowingly was the child of Mephala. He was placed on the realm of mortals where he would be quickly trained by her worshippers in secret so that she could hopefully attack and kill the other Daedra. After his training he had received a vision from Mephala which showed men named Charon and Raize’s accomplishments and he was simply told “find them!” With that he was granted his equipment and would begin his search, and Mephala would finally attempt to accomplish her ulterior goal.

Raize Darda - Speaking in a Cherry Red.
Spoiler

Name: Raize Darda
Gender: Male.
Age: Unknown.
Race: Imperial.
Birthsign: The Thief.
Backstory (short version): He was born in (what used to be) the Imperial City Waterfront to a Breton mother and an Imperial father. Despite children taking after their mother's race in TES, there was some sort of mix-up with Raize, possibly due to high amounts of residual magic in the area of birth.
He grew up an orphan, his mother dying in child birth and his father, an Imperial guard, mauled on the roadside.
He quickly found he was adept as a thief, and was in the Cyrodil Thieves Guild until he was kicked out. After being knocked out and transported to the Skyrim border, he was left for the guards to arrest for trespassing over the border.
Now, Raize has retired alongside his wife Kiva and they have two children, Adna and Elon.

Narved Chillvein: speaks in Muddy Brown
Spoiler

Name: Narved Chillvein.

Race: Imperial.

Age: 36.

Class: Dark Guard.

Weapon(s): Two Handed Dwarven Battleaxe.

Personality: Serious most of the time, Narved tries to focus on how to get the current task done as quickly and efficiently as possible. He has quite a grim sense of humour and can often be quite biting to those who he travels with. However, his loyalty is almost unmatchable. If you have a promise or oath made by Narved, you have a promise that will never be broken. Because of this, he only usually makes promises to people when necessary or when he trusts them very much. A thinker and a strategist in and out of battle, Narved always plans his moves carefully but often has to come up with new strategies on the fly to meet the demands of the battlefield. Speaks with a strange accent that no one is quite sure where to place and fire makes him flinch.

Appearance: Is very tall for an imperial, almost reaching seven foot. As such, he is often mistook for a Nord, which is one of his pet peeves. He has the silver hair of an old man cut short and practically, but his eyes are a mystery. You can definitely tell he has them, but no one is quite sure what colour they are. He wears dark steel armour, very close to black, adorned with red trim which makes it seem like blood is trailing down him.

Skills: Is a great strategist, be it on the fly or pre-planned. Unfortunately, this can often mean that his actions have a slight delay, something his enemies can exploit if they can spot it. He is heavily muscled, meaning that a swing of that great axe has meant the end of many a man. He has mild skill in magic, mostly culminating in the schools of alteration and mysticism, but also dabbles in illusion.

David Lachance: Speaks in Saddle Brown.
Spoiler

Name: David Lachance
Gender: Male
Race: Imperial
Age: appears 23 (exact age unknown even to David)
Height: 6ft 4in
Birthsign: The Steed
Moral Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Appearance: straight black hair, with dirty blonde tips covers his eyes partially and stops in the back roughly at the neck, his skin is tan has black flame war paint on his left arm but is covered by his armor, and he also has a Mythic Dawn tattoo on his neck. He has gained black decayed wings that can only glide that sprout from his back at will from Mehrunes Dagon.
Class: Daedric Champion.
Skills: Able to glide due to wings, excellent swordsman, blocks attacks frequently, smiths armor and weaponry decently, wears light armor
Spells: N/A
Equipment:
Armor: Blackened leather armor (full set except for helm) with a Mythic Dawn symbol into the chainmail gauntlets, pauldrons, and greaves all worn under the leather with a cloth mask that covers the bottom half of his face. He also possess an enchanted wolf tooth necklace that allows him to have Night-Eye.
Weapons:
Blade: A steel longsword made with partial amounts of Ebony ore to give it a darkened look.
Shield: A kite shield made from the same material.
History:
At a young age trained to fight with sword and shield in guerrilla tactics and was raised by Lucian Lachance’s family after multiple years of Sithis worship the family began to raise their children in a way that made them somewhat insane and unstable by common standards. After leaving his family he went west and hid in caves for time to time and climbed mountains in his spare time. He then took to crafting weapons and armor and has become an amateur in the craft.
While in hiding he encountered a mythic dawn sanctuary. He became a devout worshipper as Dagon had reminded him of Sithis. After the Oblivion Crisis when the other followers wanted to abandon Daedra worship he performed a purge against his former mentors and for this act of change Dagon made him his champion.
After that he was sent into Oblivion to train for when Dagon would again try to take Mundus in his grasp.
Allegiance: Mehrunes Dagon

The final chapter of the Stars in The Night Sky story. On a slightly larger scope, the final story in the saga made up of Amulet of Daedra's Call, Dreams of the Fire and Stars In The Night Sky. Not sure what to call them as a series as of yet, but I'll think up a name at some point.

I swear in the name of my country that you'll never see daylight again unless you explain yourself... immediately.
Explain myself? I don't need to explain what I've done to a worm like you!
With a quickness uncharacteristic of someone in heavy armour, Quirinus shot up, drawing his weapon.
Belan lead a war that would surely result in defeat. All I did was speed up the process! Is that truly so wrong?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Meanwhile, a little further back in time...Raize, Adna, Quirinus and Narved had found the most appealing dead end they had ever come across.
Again.
We're lost dad, admit it.
Nonsense. Adna, we just don't know where we are right now!
I'm pretty sure that's the definition of lost, thief.
Can someone remind me why we're trudging through these excessively damp corridors when he's got a ring that can teleport us pretty much anywhere?
Raize turned around to face Quirinus, his arms crossed.
Yeah, here's one doofus. None of us have been in Boethia's realm before, and even if we had, I doubt everything stays in the same place. If I teleported us, we could end up above a death trap for all I know. And-

All of a sudden, the thief's quasi rant halted. He motioned for the others to stop, creeping close to the wall on his right, listening very carefully.
...not quite...stabbed myself...
Oh. It appears someone thinks they're being clever impersonating me. I've got to admit though...it's pretty good. Wonder who they're talking to?
But...stabbed...I never...
Moving away from the wall, Raize cracked his knuckles, tapping his teleport ring.
Be back in a minute Adna, rescuing your mother.
Wait, where are you-
POP
...*sigh*
So he listened against that wall, huh? I wonder...

Intrigued, Quirinus listened against the opposite wall, hearing an annoyingly familiar voice in conflict with 'his own'. For some reason, it was quite a bit clearer than Raize's had been.
Belan lead a war that would surely result in defeat. All I did was speed up the process! Is that truly so wrong?
Quirinus frowned.
What the hell is he talking about? I never wanted Belan to lose the war! Or at least...I never sabotaged it. How dare they mock his name?!
With a movement fluid as water, Quirinus snatched Narved's axe, shouting a battlecry as he heaved the large weapon with great force, tearing the wall asunder.

As the dust cleared, the party of three could finally see as well as hear. 'Quirinus' and Delam were facing each other, about ready to cut the other's throat...except 'Quirinus' was now looking a little less sure of himself as he gaped at the hole in the wall and the surprise occupants standing in the rubble.
What the- no, no not again! Why is it always him!?

You will explain why you did this to my country NOW!
Delam grabbed Quirinus's arm and used his momentum to slam him into the ground and kicked his blade to the side
I swear on all that was important to me in my life I will kill you unless you explain yourself
He began to cry in an angry manner, this man had caused all the pain Delam could have felt to reappear...
