Ok, i don't want this to sound attitude filled but... i'm going to repeat this one last time to ensure i'm being as plain and clear as i can be...

But that is not information, certainly not information that can and has been verified. If the March 31st patch was to fix the list Cry-Tom has provided then it is a dismal failure. It has not remediate most of those issues, and I personally have noticed one new problem since the patch, Screen Flickering in MP.

This list: http://www.gamesas.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=41&t=20212

Has been confirmed by several people here at Crytek as the correct list of updates that was applied in the last patch for the Xbox 360. Yes, it was 3MB. Yes, it's the same as the PS3 list but this information has been confirmed as correct.

I don't believe Tom ever posted a list like you're suggesting, rather mentioned that it was a few small changes but this was because we had not yet received the full list, which was when later posted in the thread linked above.

Regarding what version it says on the screen, the PC is version 1.2 and i don't believe this versioning carries across all platforms. It does not necessarily mean that one platform is ahead of another but they all have varied states of build and as such, are versioned accordingly.

If these issues are still present then we need to readdress these issues in upcoming patches so that we can resolve them.

Cry-Adam here is the list Cry-Tom has provided as to the March 31st Patch. The very same one you have linked. Almost none of this has been fixed. That is why we are all so confused. A big list is provided but very little improvement is noticed at all, especially in the MP aspects. I haven't played SP since the patch but will do so soon and make a thorough assesment of remaining bugs and issues and post them.

Crysis 2 Patch Notes

On Thursday 31st March we released a patch for the X360 system that fixed many issues raised by the community. Today we have also released a patch for PS3.

We would like to thank the community for helping us to identify a number of unexpected issues, and we will continue to monitor the game and community for future fixes and improvements.

Below is a list of fixes included in the patch;

  • - A number of AI fixes and improvements (single-player campaign)
  • - Improved anti-cheat protection
  • - Fix for missing and corrupt sounds
  • - A range of networking improvements, including fixes to host migration
  • - Fix for Capture the Relay where the CELL team would occasionally not be able to pick-up the relay in the second round
  • - Addressed a bug with the “Show All” radar option when players would intermittently not be shown
  • - Ammo crates now disappear from tactical hints when they’re emptied (single-player campaign)
  • - Fix for a number of After-Match Awards not being correctly allocated
  • - Fix for inaccurate audio being played during the kill replay camera
  • - Smoothed the transition into and out of the kill replay camera
  • - Fix for the battle announcer audio occasionally reporting inaccurate Support Bonus information
  • - Fix for the Deflection bonus staying permanently active if held by a player at the end of a round
  • - Fix for menus scrolling continually if a direction is held on the left anolog stick during load
  • - Various Skill Assessment fixes so stats are tracked correctly
  • - Leaderboard fixes for data occasionally being shown in the incorrect column
  • - Fix for an issue with shadow rendering
  • - Fix for crouch and zoom being on the same button in one of the alternate control schemes
  • - Added additional announcer signposting when approaching the score limit in game modes
  • - Fix for players of rank 50 being shown as rank 51 in-game
  • - Improved ledge grab transition speed
  • - Reduced lag when switching weapons
  • - Fix for a Stealth Kill bug where, if performing a kill on a moving target, pressing the button would sometimes drag players along behind that opponent instead of performing the kill
  • - Fix for explosions occasionally not rendering in the kill replay camera
  • - Fix for an issue when trying to switch weapon during a slide, where players were sometimes left in a no-weapon

May I suggest before this gets buried under all the comments that this above be made a sticky. it will avoid the constant confusion at least.

Apparently patch 1.2 wasn't patch 1.2 it was patch 1.1.1.7002 - whatever exactly that means. He has also confirmed that the 40MB that the PS3 recieved was compressed and released as a 3MB patch for Xbox.

Cry-Adam has also stated that if things aren't working or fixed as the Patch List states, then he doesn't have any new information, but I have frequently said as much. I think it is great He has taken the time to respond, it is just a shame that no real information has been provided yet. And please don't reiterate that information has been provided, I've been a Building Inspector for 7 years, I know what real information is.

I am off to bed for the night, hopefully I don't wake up to a thread that is locked, or has been infested with trolls.

Cry-Adam is fighting a losing battle against all the posts though, which is why I suggest sticky the info confirming this is the correct patch and that it should have fixed all the issues.

Granted it hasn't fixed hardly any but that is another point entirely and not for this post.

I agree, too many posts are created, and too few people are willing to search for the topic they are after and just create dupilcate threads. That is why News and Information should be posted in one of the Moderators Locked threads at the top of the page.

Also only one post by a forum member has been stickied so far. Granted it has the most relevent information, but it has also been swamped by people ranting. The people who are still expeirencing alot of issues are almost constantly replying to those few who have none that antagonise them. This doesn't help anyone, but it is not going to stop, just like locking threads about the patch wont stop more from appearing, so maybe this can be the thread that is followed in that manner now.

And this thread and topic where posted to deal with the Patch, as to wether or not it is working and also the Communication from the Moderators. I say as much in my Opening Post, so I think it very relevent that we discuss that the Patch has done almost nothing while the Patch notes in this forum and the PS3 forum state that they have fixed all of the issues contained in the lists, which is quite clearly untrue.

This is the most important thing: You bought the game for entertainment, if you're not being entertained, DON'T PLAY IT. Don't keep playing and get more and more pissed until you snap and go raging on the forums like an idiot. If you like the game, wait until it's patched (try resorting to the life you have outside of this game), otherwise trade it in or give it to someone else.

After reviewing the patch notes of 1.02, in all fairness I wouldn't know if they have been fixed or not as I didn't have any of the stated issues except the ones I've listed below. I'm currently level 23, 1st reboot so more or less seen everything. The majority of the patch notes are for very rare issues or tweaks like faster ledge grab. I wouldnt, for example, notice say a grab going from 1.2 seconds to 1 second. I would need to look at the after patch thread for clarification of whether these rare issues were resolved but their not what's really important, the below are.

- A range of networking improvements, including fixes to host migration
- A number of AI fixes and improvements (single-player campaign)
- Fix for missing and corrupt sounds
- Fix for explosions occasionally not rendering in the kill replay camera

These four are really the only ones that matter in my opinion, and from what I experience still exist. Especially, the networking issues and host migrations.

Solution - Either;

a) Get regional filters
b) Stop having bad hosts - this is linked with having no regional filter plus on top of the host having a slow connection anyway.
c) Dedicated servers
d) Find a way that allows host migrations to successfully migrate to a new host, at this moment in time it works 1 in 10 times, I'm not exaggerating. Usually we get kicked out the game.

I can't see c) happening but perhaps add the regional filter and then we can see if the lag and framerate improves on MP. It cannot hurt to have this feature. These four issues and the rebooting feature issue should be top of their lists of things to do and what we would like is a formal update stating that they acknowledge this 5 issues and they are working on them. Not a generic statement, they need to say specifically what they are working on. Duplicate threads are present because no-one knows whether the other threads messages have been heard.

That is as close to raging as this thread has come so far (minus the momentary troll earlier). Thank you for that entirely pointless tirade in this thread, exactly what it needed, an example of someone keen to antagonise without actually reading through the whole post.

Have I raged in this thread like an Idiot? I am meant to get a cut-price trade in value on a game I've waited for ages to come out? At what stage have I said I didn't want it? All I want is information. As in When is a patch coming that WILL remediate the issues faced - Not a date, just a rough estimate, another 2 weeks? another 2 months? I want to know when I will get satisfaction as the consumer, you know, for that money I paid for the game with, that money I worked for? You know that game I wanted and waited for and then got in a nearly finished state that requires multiple rounds of patching?

What frustrates me the most is NOT the state of the game but the lack of actual information being released, and the minimal effort put into commication with the consumers. I also say that much in my Opening Post.

If you think this is a pointless thread, created only for the sake of having a rant, why bother joining and having a completely different rant on an altogether random tangent. At what stage did it annoy you enough to come and have a sook? Did you even actually read the full thread or are you another troll from the TL;DR brigade hoping to have a Key-Board Warrior moment where (hopefully) everyone agrees with you?

The reason I created it was that every other thread simillar in nature has been locked - AS IN YOU CAN'T POST IN THEM ANYMORE, GET IT? And it is quite frankly pointless posting in the moderators thread as it is either ignored, or a dozen people reply in the exact manner you have and any information just gets buried in inane pvssyr.

But really, I am actually going to bed now, so have fun with this thread, wether it gets locked or just tarnished by trolls, it will be here for those that support it to read it through tomorrow, and that is the least I could do.

It's a shame we can't get someone with a capture card to actually capture the majority of issues and post this up for cry-adam to pass on. This will at least stop a lot of the "I have no issues so you are making it up" posts. I know videos have been created for the grain issue and also for the lag, but I think a consolidated video captured over the course of some hours playing might help. No moaning, no biching just a well presented video outlining the issues for everyone to see. Any takers?? I unfortunately don't have a capture card otherwise I would gladly do it.

It's pretty obvious to most that the game does have issues, but I think alot of the rage comes from the fact that underneath these issues we all feel that this could be an amazing game.

I would love to record, but the capture card is £150 on Amazon and since I'm a student and won't be in full-time employment for another 5 weeks it will probably be too late to report issues then. I would rather have the money to eat and have a life outside of my Xbox lol. Otherwise I would play Crysis 2 for 6-7 hours tomorrow and then do a montage with commentary of the issues.

Would also do a live speedtest showing that my ping increases exponentially when connecting to servers overseas thus reinforcing my argument that regional filters are necessary. Amongst other things.

Unnecessary, believe it or not there are members of the dev team who actually play the game. And even though the mods may not always respond to the posts, they are aware of the issues.
That's not to say that you shouldn't post new issues you find, but don't assume you need to make like a case of it with evidence.

Part of the reason for this crap is that there are literally thousands of threads asking these questions or just biching in general, and they're coming in too fast to be dealt with. 99% of the issues being posted have been posted before, are known, and have most likely been acknowledged in past threads by a mod.

The game is still very much new, and right now I guarantee the dev team is going through some hectic **** trying to figure out what the hell is wrong. Pretty much every new game goes through this (even CoD, which is just going off a tried and true method that they've been using for years, had this crap).

I agree with the above post.

I'm going go dark from the forums for the next days, we've said our piece and they know the issues. It's a waiting game now and I'm fed up of repeating myself over different threads.

Hopefully in next 3-4 days a response will come back which is all to our liking.

Well, All I have to say is I'm sorry i took you the wrong way Xeraxes. It was unnecessary of me. The only (pretty weak) excuse I can offer is that it was 3:am in Aus and I was getting pretty Tired and Cranky with the response I was getting while trying to defend the thread to Cry-Adam and Banana King.

In the Future I will try not to read into a post and confuse my interpretation of the subtext with what is actually going on. Thanks for reading and posting though. Much Appreciated.

From what I've read this thread has been uniting majority of the 360 players, I applaud it.
Furthermore, I look forward to more information from this particular thread. :D
Also since someone made a post about raging. I leave this vid from a very familiar face.

I really think that a few more posts from the forum members need to be stickied on the forum - the Grain/Parasite Thread needs to get stickied, I mean it has 30+ pages of replies and advise for fixes, and I think this Thread would also be good to sticky, it shows a level of discourse with the moderators that hasn't really been seen before on this forum, and it also has a very mautre tone and content which I think needs to be displayed to the community as the prefered method communication.

Thanks Everyone for the Support given here - It has become a great little thread and recieved some much needed attention from the moderators, and I am just amazed that it only got trolled once, and that Cry-Adam was so quick in removing that person from the thread entirely. I am also very pleasently surprised that the moderators have left it open for continued discussion. Cry-Adam, you really proved me wrong on that count, and you have reduced my frustration at the process by several degrees by doing so - Thank you very much.

MullPig - a slightly less disgruntled gamer, now.

We'll just have to wait for a response now.

I played the MP today for a few hours and surprisingly it was quite a pleasant experience, barely any lag at all. Side Note: I don't know if anyone has noticed but I get a tonne of lag when I am partying with several other people. I'm from the UK and usually party with Americans, I think that the bandwidth consumed from the communication's may be causing me so more lag. I will test this out tomorrow, I might have to stop talking to people lol.
