So I was trying to start using the GECK for the first time but when I tried to load the FalloutNV.esm it just loads instantly but doesn't load any of the files, I see the Honest Hearts and Dead Money have FalloutNV.esm as the Parent File and that they have summaries saying 'Honest Hearts' or 'Dead Money', but the FalloutNV.esm has nethier and won't load the files up.

Any help would be nice, sorry if this is a really stupid question.

Sounds like you don't have the newest version of the GECK.

Well, the issue you are describing is EXACTLY what happens if you don't have the latest version. (1.4) Open the geck, and on the top toolbar click Help then About. What number does it say at the top of that window after Version. I'm thinking perhaps you did not install 1.4 and thought you did? It might have been 1.3 or something?
