Post » Fri May 27, 2011 3:46 am

i just bought the GOTY edition and everything installed nicely but when i hit play from the launcher an error message pops up and terminates the program.

this is what it says.

Error signature:

AppName: morrowind.exe
AppVer: 1.6.0.1820
ModName: morrowind.exe
ModVer: 1.6.0.1820
offset: 002b1f11

im running XP SP2, 2.68g RAM, AMD Turion 64 x2 1.61GHz (i know i need to get a new comp), Nvidia 6800

any help would be great. im leaving soon to iraq and would love to have this fixed before i leave.

Let's take a look at your dxdiag report.

Do the following immediately after restarting your system.

Click Start, then Run and type dxdiag into the box and click OK. When the loading bar stops, run the tests on the Display and Sound Pages. Then return to the System Page and click the Save All Information button. Then open file dxdiag.txt which should be on your desktop. Copy and paste the entire thing to another post in this thread.

Your graphics driver isn't installed. You have a Pavilion 9205? If so, HP doesn't seem to have the driver available on their website. :shakehead: Do you have a recovery disk? You may be able to find it on there.

Your system isn't seeing any video card. Try using the add new hardware control panel to detect and install it. You could also use the disk that came with your Geforce 6800. New drivers are on the nVidia website.
