Start A Wars, Cancels Quests for you?

Post » Thu Sep 29, 2011 2:32 am

(i Meant "Start A war" in my title sry for my english)

i understand that you can start wars as each city controlled by Jarl you can do quests for them against other jarls (Factions) which can end in a war between them,

my question is if your been considered by 1 jarl as an allie, would other jarls consider you as an enemy and you cant do thier quests they offer?

well its been confiremed that you actully "Take Sides" in the game.

(that was liked that in a game called Gothic 3)

what do you think? because i plan to do everything in skyrim in 1 play. 500 hours FTW!

I'd like to see the link where it was confirmed that you can actually coerce Jarls to go to war with each other, and if that is really the case then no, you should only be allowed to do quests for Jarls aligned with the Jarl you're working for.

It wouldn't make since if the enemies Jarl's just decided to let you help them out too. Maybe, before you got to far in one of the original Jarl's quest trees, you would have to opportunity to redeem yourself in the eyes of his enemy Jarl, then switch sides from that point on. But there should be a very small window of opportunity, and you shouldn't just be able to keep switching sides back and forth.

this I can understand beinng able to do all the guild quests but not political factions as they would have a legitmate reason to hate one another :flamethrower: :flamed: :starwars:

Am I the only person who read this thread title as "Star Wars"? Even after OPENING the thread?

I like to do everything in one playthrough at least, even if it doesn't fit the lore. Closing a huge storyline for other factions is not a good idea (F:NV! Morrowind Houses)

What about playing both side against eachother for your own gain, or going undercover, being a double agent? sounds like a good route for a stealthy spy type, or greedy diplomat type to me.

I like the opportunity to do everything. However taking sides does leave the game a bit more open for secondary characters with different play styles.

but eventually you would have to choose a side or be crushed by those you sought to manipulate. :slap: :swear: :starwars:

oh absolutely

if I'm a double agent for someone I expect to be inherently mistrusted by them as well and will also expect some kind of double cross from them at their earliest convenience...

but I also expect to be several steps ahead of them too

All part of the dance ;)

This. Beth RPGs are best when you can do anything on one character but choose not to do some things on a limited character.

More choice = better game.
