Starterislands dont come back why?

Post » Tue Mar 25, 2014 12:57 am

Hi,. I just had read the disapointing news. Bethesda/Zenimax complete ignored the question if they will come back and fooled us with just moving some (i bet still not working) npc.

Its an shame that they arent there from teh beginning. What shall an 20+er do there? nothing. How shall an new player learn the stuff ? Impossible. Cause they arent choosable automatic anymore.

So i am making an sugegstion: delete them complete if you don like to fix that.

You really don't know how it is do you?

You can skip them, but if you don't want to, you can go there as soon as you start.

They at least moved an npc quest giver right outside the room you start in now with a true quest to go to the island. I believe its backwards, but them giving it proper indicators works.

You know what should be awesome? If the world was really open and you didn't need some npc to take you too an island. You could just catch a ferry that took you there.

Starter island or no, the game blows chunks.

I don`t like it, but you have to find quest giver then go back, worth it though just for sky shards

I mean your garbled English aside I think I know what you're trying to say.

That said: They did not ignore the news. They responded by saying they would put an NPC directly in front of you when you spawn out of Coldharbour in the main city directing you clearly and obviously toward the starter island should you choose to oblige them. Otherwise say "no thanks" to the quest and carry on.

They have made it as direct as possible, without railroading you into having no choice, to experience the start island.

Sticking the 'got to starter/plot island' NPC in your face is at least a nod to the lovers of story.

I'd love to know in the betas what the split was between TESers and MMOers. Some aspects seem to be designed to svck in the MMO vet, others to svck in people like me who are all about the TES with possible social stuff added.

Thats what you mean is the kingom of the dead ones. You dont get asked automatic at which island you like to start. And there where all tutorials etc.

Its no skipping if you dont even know that there are some or if there is no other tutorial. Thats just patching out. Thats why i feel fooled.

/edit: @ language fool: and i bet your german is trash to.

Atriedus:
You can do the starter islands. Not Coldharbor, but the starter islands. You can. We promise. You either take the quest, or you don't. You have a choice now. All you need is two eyes and literacy.

It wasn't there on last beta stress. Last event was a simple line in the prophet dialogue about going down to docks. The AMA on reddit, they said they were putting a quest npc right where you enter the game at so you 1) know its there and 2) can find it easily.
