I have a DID character IRL, I don't want to have it in my games.
DID is great. Really makes you get more involved. It's far more immersive and edge-of-seat..ing. I actually have an "OH SHI-" attitude when it comes to near death experiences.
To be honest, the fun is in the journey. You don't want it all spoilt for you by knowing how to do it.

Took me three characters who all died of cliffs/traps before I got my first proper character... who then recieved a trunk-slap to the face by a hairy elephant when my companion thought it would be hilarious to start a fight with one, just as he had just joined the legion and was in the process of begining his fruitful and prosperous career... Yeah, don't bring along companions if you plan on a journey past some mammoths.
I've also found it's really fun to purposfully nerf yourself. I've been trying to get my fist-fighting anti-potion character off the ground for days now.
