Starting to get bored, looking for new playingstyles

Post » Mon Apr 12, 2010 4:31 pm

So, I have played Fallout 3 on PS3 now around year and I recently got it for PC. The mods on PC bring more to do into the game, but it's a fact it's still the same old game and the mods wont actually change it when you've seen and done it all already.

So, I'm asking you people, what can i still do in the game without getting bored, when I've already found it all, done it all, seen it all and experienced it all? I have a normal save on PC where I use only little mods and that's kinda "normal" gamepleying. Then I have huge test mod full of mods and cheats and super weapons. Both of these are nice, but I cant just make myself interested anymore. Please give me good ideas how to long up the gameplay or link good mods to make it more interesting.

Or... after over 200 hours, should I finally let go and move up to new games? If you're completely bored in something you can't really force yourself to play it... but it's still so good game I don't wanna abandon it.

Yeah yeah, if you got any idea what I'm talking about, please give me ideas :P cheers.

Super weapons and cheats don't make this game fun. I recommend two or three big overhauls that bring more challenge to the game, such as FWE and MMM, but if you are truly bored with the game I simply suggest playing another. Buy New Vegas or something.

Those overhauls are a good idea, but they require FOSE and I'm still having the http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1135781-fose-not-even-trying-to-work/ so I think I shall go on with littler mods until I get help to that.

play fallout new vagas. put the game away for awhile and you will start to forget things about so it will seem to be fresh.

Yeah, I'm going to buy NV and few other games nearly, but I think does NV actually have anything so new FO3 had. It's still same engine and all, just a little different area and some new things. But well, I'll see then.

If you want something familiar, but with a different spin, I suggest getting a copy of FONV.

If your budget somehow doesn't allow that and since you have the PC version, you may want to look into mods that make FO3 play like FONV, like a "weapon modification" mod where you can add scopes, extended magazines and the like to existing weapons. You may also want to look for a FONV style "hardcoe" mod, where the need to drink water, eat food and sleep regularly is simulated in the game.
