Starting Out as a Kid?

Post » Wed Oct 27, 2010 6:51 pm

The idea that kids have been introduced makes me wonder, will there be a tutorial of us growing up? I think it's plausible, whether I like it or not. What do you think?

I don't know what it will be, but I don't want to start out as a kid. It was already done in FO3. Give us something new.

As much as I loved the FO3 start. I rather leave my childhood to my imagination. Its boring when everyone has the same childhood.

Depends on how it was done...I'd be fine with it but give people the option of skipping it.

No, if my character is mer or something, how are you going to include that? Or vampire? Or old already? There is multiple reasons why people don't want their characters history to be told in the game. I, for example, want to make up my own history anyway.

Doesn't really matter. At this point, the way the game begins is already in one way or another.

Nah, since there are 10 races it's better to leave your life prior to the game to your imagination.

Right, transition to advlt has to take place so...plomp...your advlthood begins in prison.

Yeah, but no we don't need that in the game and it won't be in FO4 either. It wasn't all that well received.

I think they are just going to go with the prison theme or something although I wouldnt mind starting in like a small settlement as a farmer or maybe you are in an army fighting againsts the other side because they are in a civil war so it would make sense for you to be a soldier and maybe you figure out you have the blood of a Dragonborn when a dragon interrupts a fight and you understand the dragon or something

Or they might just start you off as a Dragon Hunter/Merc who finds out he is a Dragonborn

Or maybe you are a child(Of course a Dragonborn but you dont know)and maybe the few remaining members of the blades take you in and train you to be a Dragonborn or whatever you are in this game and that would be the tutorial ending with a Dragon invading the nearby village, if that is so then you probably wont even kill the dragon only weaken it for it to fly away and flee for like the final boss battle all I hope is Bethesda doesnt pull a Fallout 3 on us with the ending of the game being the end and you have to make a new character

It's possible, but I'd prefer making up my own backstory.

Agreed, it would only encumber their harddrive - consuming valuable bytes.

NO.

I want to make my own back story and this is TES. It wouldn't be TES if you didn't start in jail for some reason or another.
