Hi all

I'm starting another Skyrim playthrough and thinking of setting all my skills to "1" at level 1. This would have the following effects:

• Faster initial skill / level gain
• More defined skill progression (no skills would automatically start at 25)
• Gimped non-used skills
• Might have to save perks a while before you can use them
• Would meet higher level mobs when your skills are lower, effectively increasing game difficulty
• Would take a little longer to reach cap (playing with 100 skill limit cap)

Has anyone tried this approach? If so, what were the pros / cons?

honestly the only con i could see is for magic users, because you have to be level 25 for apprentice level skill perks.

Seems interesting. Might try it some day...

You must be on a PC, right? I don't believe there's a way to set skills below 15 on consoles.

Might need some tweaking with the http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Leveling. Gonna be a bit odd going from level 1 to 2, when you need 100 skill up XP and getting a skill from 1 to 2 only nets you 2.
