Stat distribution for archer with melee support ?

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 5:07 pm

I'm playing a sneaky archer who uses two-handed weapons as support when I can't avoid melee (lvl 15 now).
I'm putting all my level-up points into health for now. I use magicka only for healing, so I don't think worth adding any magicka. I also haven't added any stamina for now. Health simply seems the best stat because I'm playing on master, and some guys beat really hard to the point of almost one-shoting me.

So, what you guys suggest for this kind of character from now on, regarding magicka/health/stamina distribution?

I suggest putting a butt load of stamina for the 2h, it almost drains ur Stamina clean when using it right? dump some points in there when u feel u ave enough hp, or dont really need any anymore

2h sounds like a bit of an odd stat to increase for an archer lol, but anyway I'd advise buying some good armour rather than increasing health.

On master difficulty enemies will be able to one/two shot you regardless of how high your health is (see people's complaints about werewolves) so you're better off getting your character some improved armour and investing your points in stamina, where you'll be able to take more advantage of power attacks.

With melee/assassin type I usually go 3 Health to 1 Stamina, intending to max Stamina at 200 and keep it there. It certainly helps when running away, or getting in an extra power attack, and the extra carrying is nice. All in all though, Health is easily the most beneficial of the three, so if in doubt, just stick with that.

I'm not having a hard time with stamina because I'm using a two-handed sword that absorbs stamina on hit. So I can keep blocks and power attacks for a long time. But getting more stamina seems a good idea too, since this way I can change to a more offensive enchantment such as fire.

Thanks for the replies.
