State Of Decay YOSE Is A Lazy Remaster

Post » Fri Jun 26, 2015 9:42 pm

I don't know about you guys, but I've been playing one of my favorite games, it just got a re-master 2 months ago. I enjoyed playing that on Xbox 360 but I on XB1 I've started to realize something. It was a lazy re-master, this so-called "Definitive Addition" was the most buggiest, lazy game I've ever played. My heroes keep changing into other people, zombies running through doors, cars just turning over, it was fvcking chaos. When I get a re-master I expect everything to fixed, they even promised to fix all of this. You know what's really funny? When someone complained about this on their forums, people were defending it like crazy. If they were real State Of Decay fans, they wouldn't be defending it, and tell them the problems with the game.

I liked the original, and actually feel sorry for the company. YOSE wasn't meant to be a "re-mastering" as much as an HD re-release.

The problem being that the original looked good enough that it wasn't really needed, making this mostly a stunt to bring the game over to the next-gen. As for the massive price-tag and all the bugs, I actually blame MS for that.

They basically OWN State of Decay's IP and fund the studio making it. They are also the publisher. So they get to say "Port over this game to our new system in X amount of time" and then get to say "We're going to charge X price for it". Undead labs just has to deal with it.

Ignore the forums in cases like that. After a few years, the only people who hang around ARE the super-ravenous fans.

You should check how many thumbs down it has on steam, it's very sad, really.
