Static object not affected by lighting

Some of the limestone cliff statics are set up to only allow illumination on some faces, I'm guessing to keep you from placing them with the layers of sediment facing the wrong way. I put a light near them in the cell and the texture on that side of the cliff stays completely dark. It'd be a hassle to find an alternate object. Anyone know what nif or texture edits I'd need to make to get the lighting to show up correctly? If I fix it I can just find/replace with the new static.
