this game is truly the biggest waste of money you can buy. Bethesda and obsidian svck. the glitches are horrible. in the short time ive had the game my foloowers have just completely disapeared gone for ever ive been stuck in a wall, my game freezxes if iuse vats, theres an invisible wall blocking the only way to getto a campaign mission. and bethesda dont care they allready got your money. I for one am boycotting any and all obsidian bethesda games. considering oblivion and fallout were my fave games of all time its not an easy thing to do. Im furious that because they made a game that barely works I cant get a refund for something that works worse then a dollar bin game.

Well they must care a little bit because they've already released one patch.

Yeah, it's not perfect. Then again nothing is.

I'm enjoying it for the most part.

well said.... i'm not buying another game from these developers either... the crashes are unbelievable, i cant play for even 10 mins without it crashing.. and at lake mead in the game if you aim at the lake it splits the screen in half and goes all different colours..you would of thought that they would of worked on game crashes after fallout 3...

If you were a big fan of Oblivion and Fallout 3 you already know how glitchy this engine is.

This game isn't buggy; it just runs on the same glitchy engine that gamesas games have been using for years, including both of its GOTY titles.

NPC pathing is bad in this engine, and the environment is prone to getting things stuck. Save a lot. It is NEVER a good idea on the Havok engine to see if you can squeeze yourself through someplace it doesn't look like you were meant to squeeze. If you hit an invisible wall, that's the game telling you there's another way in you haven't found yet. If you have followers, stay on clear paths; no cliff jumping.

The game is otherwise awesome.

Sad that people do not realize that no game can be created bug free. Good news is, they can patch games these days.

You should take more time and effort to type out your complaints. If you are so angry that it has messed up your typing ability that bad then you may want to see someone about anger issues. No offense, but being this upset over a game is not healthy in any way.

Hey we aren't all bad.

The only issue I have is the weird exclamation point when I mod the 10mm weathered. Other than that no issues and even if I did I wouldn't [censored] like a whiney baby ;D

Not necessarily fair to users with exceptional grammar, however. I did generalize a tiny bit.

Agreed, after playing NV I am like totally boycotting Beth.

Until their next game comes out that is of course (crosses fingers and whispers "TES5" to myself over and over again).

Learn to post a message, possibly you say the game svcks because you dont seem to understand proper english or would rather have an EZ-mode game.

I happen to disagree, the glitches are aggravating, but most of them are a mere annoyance if you save often.

Its a large game and a lot of experiences with glitches vary, if 95% of people are playing now glitch free, then its reasonable that they might of missed problems.

Finally the game itself is definitely worth the money, its an amazing game, and Bethesda does care, they are working to fix it now, and they don't have to either, the amount of people vowing to never buy their games are minimal compared to the overall consumer base, and won't drastically hurt their profits. They are fixing it because they do care, a lot of companies wouldn't so be damn grateful.

And if you refund your game your simply missing out on the experience of a few days when the game is fixed...

Lol, Lawl.

Really.

OH NOES A GAMES HAS DA BUGGIES IN ITS!!

IM BOYCOTT IT!

Grow up a little ok?

Come back with you are not angry and can think normally. This game is not as bad as you all are making it out to, I have logged 46 hours and had only one crash.

Maybe the issue is with what ever you are playing it on? Maybe you are over reacting and throwing a fit over nothing. This is the best game I have played in a long time, Morrowind was the last game I enjoyed this much.

P.S

I like pumpkin pie,
your point is now moot.

I waited a year for this game . I had 700 hrs in on fallout 3 . I was disappointed they didn't fix the bugs , if I had known it was still buggy I would have still bought it but for the Xbox 360 not my ps3 . I think most fans over looked the bugs because the base idea of the game was so good however they had years to fix the bugs before new Vegas and didn't my only guess is as to why is because they can't it's a part of the core engine so until they make a new engine we will see this type of bugs . Still I wish they told us . I don't think they will win game of the year this time because of the bugs and there is no poker on a vegas based game ? But I will still enjoy it and would still buy it again because while it's far from perfect it's still the best RPG out in my opinion.

Please don't make threads for ranting. We have plenty of threads open to discuss the problems and express your opinions about the game. As you can see, these threads guickly become filled with flames.

If you would like to make a thread to ask for assistance in getting your game to work properly, feel free to start one in the appropriate H&S section and state your problems, if on pc your dx and thus not only get assistance by assist in tracking problems that can be patched.

I will be closing this thread but do hope you read the following which is pinned at the top of the page:
As you may have seen, we released a patch over Steam for PC users last night. While we didn’t release a full changelist, the patch contains quest and scripting fixes. It’s not a minor hotfix, it contains over 200 fixes in all. We are in the final stages of testing this update on both 360 and PS3 and we hope to have them out to users very soon.

We are also pleased to say that we have just released a second fix for PC users to address the autosave and quicksave issues that some people were encountering. That particular issue was never seen prior to release and it was extremely difficult to reproduce reliably, even after the game had launched. In order to fix this problem we have had to disable Steam Cloud functionality. It has been turned off, and we won't turn it back on until we're absolutely sure it will not cause any more problems. Please restart your Steam client to make sure you get the update.

We are also working directly with hardware manufacturers to improve performance for certain video cards. This is a driver issue, and not directly related to the game.

On consoles, we are aware that a small group of 360 users are seeing a DLC warning which is preventing you from loading save games. We are absolutely looking into this bug now, along with other reports of save game corruption. It is our highest priority right now that we find out what is causing it. In the meantime, we recommend you save often, and revert to an older save if this occurs.

As far as general memory and instability, you should see an improvement once the patch goes live, but we are continuing to work on this based on user feedback.

We want everyone to know that we are monitoring the forums and cataloging every single issue we see reported. We’re reading forum posts, we’re checking Twitter, and we’re reading Facebook comments. We aren’t able to reply to most threads, but we’re listening. If we see an issue, we have people here trying to reproduce it so we can fix it.

While there are definitely legitimate issues out there, we wanted to take a moment to address a couple of things that have been reported as “bugs.”

The now infamous Doc Mitchell video, while very funny (and horrifying) was not a bug. Unfortunately during our launch day, there was a brief window where Steam was pushing out corrupt or incorrect files. In the event that a user wound up with a corrupt meshes.bsa file, they would get that error. It was easily (and instantly) corrected by simply re-validating your files with Steam. At most, a handful of people ever saw that issue, and even then, only for a moment before fixing it.

We have seen forum posts where people are claiming they are not getting all of their perks. Again, this is not a bug. In Fallout: New Vegas, you receive perks every other level, not every level as you do in Fallout 3.

And finally, a quick tip: Be aware of your faction status before assuming the game is broken. Factions will react very strongly to you based on your current armor. If you’re wearing Powder Ganger or Caesar’s Legion armor, you will be shot on sight by the NCR (and vice versa). Also note that there are groups of renegade Powder Gangers (known simply as “Escaped Convicts”) who will shoot you regardless of your faction status.

Please post any issues you are having to our forums and we’ll do our best to fix them as quickly as possible.

Thanks,

The Fallout: New Vegas Teams at Obsidian and Bethesda

I do hope you find a solution for your game. I've not played it yet but have heard it's pretty awesome from reading threads around here. Worth awaiting more patches or the trouble to get it going smoothly.
