Stay positive

Post » Sun Feb 06, 2011 4:39 am

I am sitll waiting for the release at 13th in Europe. So far I have heard quite a disappointing feedback from people. I would like to encourage people who are yet to try the game, to stay positive and don't let poor reviews drag you down. I was really hyped about this game at some point but I have learned from past experiences, If you are hyped about a game this much it can never live up to expectations, simply because an item will never be able to fill up the emptiness inside you, that you imagine it will.
So my advice is, lose up your expectations, dont expect that it will change the world. Start playing with an attitude when you simply want to get fun out of the game without expectations.
I believe it will give me a few months of online fun, just like team fortress 2 or black ops did. It will be patched.

I hope it will help to some

I voted yes simply because I couldn't come up with a reasonable answer before I chose one for some ridiculous reason that would be burned in my mind for long times even tho there would be no merit behind it. Its times like these when I realize the question was terrible, sorry I said it, dont take offense, maybee its just bad one for me. Also all I could muster was me being a zombie and reacting to yes or no my twitch instincts went with yes. :toughninja: Hope that explains it for u lol....

I rarely bother to read reviews of games before hand or during. I will pick up a game and decide for myself if I like it. I do the same for movies.

Look they have brought me down, and I don't see how they can't when I was really excited for it.
But it's not going to stop me getting the game and seeing how I feel.

In fact, the bad reviews might help the game this weekend. The hype is dead, and the rest of the gaming world is going in without high hopes.
So I think there will be more positive reviews as people go "Wait, this isn't that bad!"

Plus, there will be more people online. I think this is a game in development and will improve with time. That's no excuse for releasing it unfinished, but I'm hopeful for its future if they move quickly enough.

(what has really got me down is all the negativity , bitterness, flaming, trolling and fights on this forum now. I loved this forum, now it is a warzone! I miss the :turtle: stuff)

Me too. But I think I'll still enjoy this game when I see some of you online and put "game playing styles" to names

As I put in my signature. I'd rather play tetris with you people than COD9000 with jerks.

Strange poll. I let poor feedback lift me up by saving rather than wasting money.

Sure they worry me a little bit, with regards to player base, but they're not discouraging.

Reviews... great for stirring up a load, and not much else.

One way of looking at it. Also true. But it's the disappointment that svcks. The money save is consolation.

Hasn't discouraged me from buying one bit!
Just played through the Resistance campaign with some friends co-op and had a blast.
:D
My only gripe is how often I get thrown into laggy matches when doing free play and the lack of a lobby system.
Hopefully a lobby is something that can be added down the line and I'm sure the matchmaking process can be patched.
Overall it's been a fun-filled launch day.

I'm on PS3. I'm still waiting for my credit card to suddenly stop working and to find out that there is actually another "me" in the world who is clearly a lot more liberal with my money.

I stayed away from reviews on Brink because I knew they would be bad. I live in Canada so I already have it, I was so excited, I picked the game up on my break from work yesterday and couldn't wait to get home to play it, I don't know if I've ever been so excited for a game. It lived up to the hype I gave it. I didn't wanna put down the controller! Really the only way to know for sure whether or not you're gonna like a game is to play it yourself, I did and loved it. It's just great. I honestly don't know how people can NOT like this game! But, that's just my opinion!
