stealth boy recipe?

I think with the caesar's legion safe house it may be to much to add a steath boy recipe.

It would be very broken if they released a Stealth Boy recipe. Stealth Boys are meant to be rare. Between Nightkin and their excessive Stealthboy use/addiction, and the Stealth Boy having been a prototype Pre-War, their rarity should be just that. Finding THREE of them in one place makes an adventure worth while.

There were too many in fallout 3, but i feel obsidian got it just right in new vegas. I wouldn't mind a stealth boy recipe, but it isn't something i need.

The part of me that likes crafting stuff says 'yes' to a Stealthboy recipe, but my actual vote would be 'no' because I know from using the Chinese Stealth Suit that the ability to constantly stay in stealth mode is massively overpowered.

This is especially true when using silenced weaponry; a character using the CSS+ Perforator was never at any risk in a fight in FO3, and in F:NV we have multiple silenced weapons that are actually quite effective whose balancing factors would be thrown out the window with the ability to spam Stealthboys.

I'm on the fence on this one.

What exactly is the composition of a stealth boy? I always thought the tubing on it goes into your wrist and sends a fluid through your body that expands the stealth field.

I don t think our player has wha it takes to make something that somehow casts a field around you and projets what is behind you in front of you and vise versa.

I think its out of our capabilities.

No, as stated above in the other posts, CSS and Silenced or Melee weapons combined are way too overpowered, I think if they are going to put a recipe in, they should make it almost impossible to find the materials or have two high skills like Survival and Science. Or both, to make it even harder. Although I was quite dissapointed when I got the Stealth Suit from Hoover Dam, that it didn't stealth me, I think it was the right decision to make to balance the game.

The Assasain Suit however provides a much better Sneak Boost. :mohawk:

I am addicted to Stealthboys and was crushed by their rarity in NV but it definitely is more balanced. I was playing F3 yesterday to tied me over till more DLC drops and I got 20 of them with level 15 character playing on hard in Point lookout alone and I still haven't explored everywhere there with this character. I still haven't gotten the Chinese Stealth suit yet and you know once you get that it kinda voids the whole purpose of the stealthboys in F3(still love hoarding them though). Plus I know if you take the Legion story path they become pretty much unlimited but I prefer all the pther main paths. The NCR supply chest never seem to spawn them for me.

As cool as it would be to make them, it would throw off balance and maybe some lore seeing as they're suppose to be rather hard to find. Now what we do need is a nice throwing spear recipe. Oh yeah, now that's the [censored].
