Is it possible to kill members of a faction stealthily and NOT get aggro from their faction? Example: I was heading to a Bandit Lair to complete a "kill the leader type quest." It was in the mountains, it was night and there was a blizzard. I was navigating around using a low-grade night vision amulet (Amulet of the Long Nights from Hunterborn) and keeping myself from freezing by swigging teas.

I was having a hard time finding the entrance to this bandit cave and then I spotted an obvious camp. Seems this amulet almost gives a kind of "detect life" effect, as the NPCs moving around their camp had a slight whitish glow. Using a longbow I was able to drop two or three of them before I was in danger of being detected. My little "stealth cursor" never said "Detected" as far as I know but it did switch from the flat "Hidden" indicator to indicate detection was impending a few times.

Turns out this was an Imperial soldier camp! Argh, didn't really mean to do that . . . So when I checked to see if I had gained aggro against Empire, yep, they attacked me on site. I reloaded to a save before I started dropping them.

But this made me wonder: is it even possible to stealth kill and not gain faction aggro?
