With lights it's possible. Since there is no radar unless a down person is interigated. So if you get up high and not be seen you could move behind.

Well one thing that comes to mind with stealth is TF2 (Team fortress 2) where it is also class based. The Spy can change disguise to fool the enemy and turn invisible with his watch. I could very much see that being implemented if it is or not who knows. I think it would be cool, you get discovered use SMART and jump on top of a roof and turn invisible and just wait for them to turn their back and eliminate them.

Turning "invisible" is unrealistic. Do remember producers of Brink have stated many times they are going for a more realistic-based gameplay and theme. Not completely realistic, but fairly.

Who said there is no radar? How do you think the Operatives interragation ability will be working then if it has no mini map to put the red dots on and display?

I suppose but if there was a form of active camo for him. Not like in the form of MGS but in a way that you could move towards a wall or a pile of junk and you could blend in.

Brink doesnt sound like the game you are looking for. They are trying to make it in your face all out war thats one the main reasons they do not have a sniper class or true sniper guns able to OHK. Adding camo to blend into surroundings would be counter intuitive to what they are trying to accomplish. I think you would enjoy Killzone3 more when it comes out as they had a scout class in KZ2 able to cloak projecting whatever was behind them but the more you moved the easier it was to see showing parts of your body. All Ghost Recon will have a camo ability when it comes out and Crisis2 so there are plenty of games coming out with stealth mechanics Brink is trying to set itself apart from all other games and provide something unique and entertaining.

Well the operative is supposed to be the stealthy class. As far as straight out sneaking around you can flank and go higher as a light. The operative can disguise himself. As far as silent footsteps or any thing like that we haven't heard about yet. You can play stealthily in any game,

it doesn't bother me if it doesn't have what i just said. The topic is called "stealth" so i kinda figured that it would be an answer that would suffice as that is probably one of the things that comes to mind when it comes to stealth. but i also don't mind just staying outside of their F.O.V personally it gives it more of an edge just staying away from them. hitting them and leaving before anyone knows the better.

Sounds like you should be playing a light. They should excel at hit and run tactics.

The operative is the Spy/Scout of the group. If you play him right he could be very stealthy also you can add silencers to your guns as well. It all depends on you as gamer and your playing style. I love playing the stealthy guy who has silencers on all is weapons and goes behind emeny lines.

I don't see stealth in the sense of rappelling down buildings and turning invisible (or something similar) as being a likely addition to the game, but based on what we've seen of the shantytowns I doubt it would be all that hard to use SMART as a Light and get behind enemy lines or just use the terrain to become really, really hard to catch. The green Security guy in the "Jah Lick Them With Thunder" trailer was a pretty good indication of the crazy stuff Lights will be able to pull off and I think this falls under that category.

Really? I can't say for sure since all we saw of his weaponry was the dual pistols but he did seem pretty agile. If Lights can do that to an even greater degree than I'd definitely say "stealth", by the loose definition I provided in my previous post, is possible.

I'm pretty sure he was definitely a light -_-
It's fairly obvious because of the MASSIVE jumps and DUAL sidearms and LIGHTNING fast running.
I'll slam my head against the wall if I'm wrong.

Well, for one thing, that's a cinematic trailer. You shouldn't really put too much stock in it as far as what the game will really be like. There is no dual wielding, for example. But yeah, I'd say that The Bug was probably a Light guy, although he didn't look quite as lanky as he should've.

I see what you mean. In most cases the cinematic trailer is awesome, then the game is absolutely crap. But still, he IS a light.

lmao
it's not possible to do all the crap the guy did with guns in both hands
and i think its medium since all he did was two vaults at waist height and a "wall hop"

Nahah. If you remember, he jumped down a fair way to get to the control panel that dropped the tank on the big guy. He's a light!!!

lmao argueing this is [censored] but
im pretty sure jumping isn't that hard
like in real life an obese guy can jump off something and survive
so a "medium" guy in a game should be able to do those jumps
