I would do the GMG 20% off thing except that by the time the currency gets exchanged on my CC it would only be about 10% savings. Not worth it.

This is why I buy through Green Man gaming. Right when F4 was released, they had a coupon which was good for 20 percent off game purhases..
shame the currency conversion doesn't make it worth it for everyone
And its perfectly within your right to wait for the discount but the logic all right less money for them doesnt rly apply here since the game is a top seller since relase so disscounting it wud actualy mean less money for them and not vice versa.
Bethesda is not stupid, they only do sales to drive more purchases, but people are still flocking to this game, and it sells more than in a month Witcher did in 6 months. There is absolutely no reason for a sale at the moment.
BTW, they've stopped doing daily specials. The sale prices are what they are, for the entire duration of the sale. They do highlight different games on the front page each day, but the prices don't change.
(I've seen some praise it for being less manipulative towards consumers. But I also saw someone mention what's probably the real reason - their new refund policy. Can you imagine how many refunds the system would have to process each day, when people realized that the game they'd bought just showed up in the Daily Deal for 10% less?)
Yup. I had a 25% off coupon myself on day of release from Gamestop plus their 10% special if you bought the guide as well.
I think I got a good deal at $55 for both.
Fallout 4 had been the top seller on Steam since it came out right? That looks like it's over.
Maybe, though timing of the release might be important too. iirc Skyrim went on sale a couple of days after Xmas so anyone who couldn't afford it on launch day but got some Christmas money/gift vouchers as presents potentially had a window of time where they might buy it full price and see it drop quite soon thereafter. I'd imagine at this time of year a good number of copies would get sold in the run up to Christmas before sales started too.
I believe so, they did stop doing the daily specials in the last sale, I assume this is following the same pattern.
