Steam Controller Support

Post » Sun Nov 29, 2015 9:21 pm

I recently got a Steam Controller for my pc in the hope that it would give my game a little more precision.

I tried to use the manage game option in steam to customise the buttons for Fallout 4. I also tried setting up the controller in-game. Unfortunately the d-pad of the controller is confused for the mousewheel by the game.

Anyone know if there are plans to add support for the Steam Controller?

Also if other players have been successful in getting the Steam Controller to work fully for Fallout 4 I would appreciate some advice on how to make the setting work

I also would love to see a really good Steam Controller interface for FO4. There's some good discussion on reddit and neogaf (I can't post links yet) and there's a video called "Fallout 4 on the Steam Controller" where this guy sums up some of the issues. It sounds like he's created a semi-satisfactory controller profile but for some reason he hasn't uploaded it to the steam library yet.

I had been hoping Bethesda and Valve had worked together closely to make FO4 a showcase for the Steam Controller, but apparently that didn't happen... For now I'm just enjoying it with KB/Mouse; will check for good controller profiles every week or so...

Yeah. I use a cheap, simple logitech USB controller and some x360ce software and the thing works a charm.
