STEAM Cross platform

i know since Portal 2 PS3 has steam so does that mean i will be able to talk to my PS3 friend through steam while playing Brink?

No.

Portal 2 on PS3 has Steamworks, this does not. Not even sure why Valve would allow it this point of time. Besides, Brink is a competitive shooter, mouse and keyboard vs a controller wouldn't be fair. Portal 2 only has co-op.

ahh thanks and i didnt really mean play with ps3 player just talk as i thought that Steam was linked with PSN not just the games with steamworks. but thanks anyway

A fact which could have been completely nullified if developers actually took advantage of the fact that the Xbox and PS3 have USB ports and CAN use a mouse and keyboard.

But for some dumb reason none of them want to introduce KB+M support for consoles, even with ports from the PC!

I miss my PS2 Half-Life. That actually had KB+M support (not to mention it was the best looking version of Half-Life.)
