Saw the 50% off Left 4 Dead 2 but I think I still won't get it. I know they added new stuff and more variety over Left 4 Dead one but the monotony of the first one made me lose interest in the series, along with lack of decent people to play it with. So I probably still won't get it until its super cheap.

Not a deal, but it seems that Steam has dropped Ubisoft titles containing the "mother of all DRM". Neither side has officially stated anything, so it's still speculation. Wouldn't surprise me, though.

Assassin's Creed II is still available...

Or is this about future titles?

Anyway, I would pick up Left 4 Dead 2 if I didn't have something else to buy...

If I hadn't just paid for a new (used) bike -and if the Australian version wasn't so horribly neutered- I might grab it. Maybe next time

I think they removed "the movies" from the store before, they kept the gamefiles on the servers so people who already bought the game could still access them and redownload them, but the game is no longer available in the steam-store.

this is all iirc though, I don't have that game.

Tempted to buy l4d2, been a while since I played a fps..

Personally I didn't care for Left 4 Dead 2 at all, it wasn't different enough from the first to warrant a purchase, even when I got it for around $33.

They added some features, but a lot of the things that made the first what it was got left behind in the process. At best it was forgettable, and that was when I was playing with friends.

I played with two of my friends today, and it was extremely fun. I would definitely get it for $25.

The problem for me isn't whether l4d2 is worth the money, but more like: am I going to play it enough to warrant buying it now?

I still have plenty of games I haven't had the time for to finish them, and by the time I finish a couple of those there'd probably be another l4d2 sale.. +those cheap sales lately kind of spoiled me into thinking that 25 euro is actually not that great (that would buy me deus ex 5 times a while ago).

Yeah, it's a hit and miss sort of game. I mean I had lots of fun playing it...all two times I did; but it seems like the game just didn't "click" with me. I never really got the urge to go play it more (like TF2 which was my default-go-to).

Which puts me at an odd place. I don't have buyer's remorse, because I got it in a similar sale a while back and it's still a fantastic game...I just never actually play it. :laugh:

Or maybe it's better when you have actual friends to play with, like Borderlands. Pubs are little better than bots.

I only have L4D1... When I first bought it I played it a lot and then just completely stopped. I found that wether or not I actually had any fun at all was totally dependent on what the other people were like. Strange, with other online games, everyone can be a [censored] and I can still have fun. I don't know, I guess because L4D requires team work constantly and for everyone to put in their bit, the other people have more impact.

Sweeeet. I was a bit torn about getting it because I gotta play on the lowest settings, but it's just too much damn fun lol.

Now time to save up for that upgrade...
