I think I might pick up Far Cry 2. I had it for 360. It wasn't the best game ever, but for ?7, I think it's worth it.

Yeah, it seems like it'll at least keep me entertained for a solid while.

Personally, I prefer having a new thread for each noteworthy deal. I don't want to navigate a thread, which takes far more time than reading a thread title.

I got an Email from Impulse (kinda like Steam) containing a coupon code.

75% off of Demigod.

If anyone is interested, PM me.

The Total War series of games is on sale this week. I bought Rome Complete and the expansion for Medieval 2 (bought base game during the holiday sale for $5). Quite fun games. Not interested at all in Empire though. The time period just doesn't interest me.

Red Faction for $5? I know the game was overall not very good, but mindless destruction for that cheap is hard to come by.

Waaaay better than RF2. That game... takes perseverance. Definitely was a console game first.

I only played it 'cause I got it as part of the THQ pack (which I picked up for $50 a couple of months ago).

Red Faction Guerrilla is actually a very entertaining game. They sort of dropped the potential-ball when it comes to portraying insurgencies in a meaningful way ( and general plot sophistication), but it's a fun game nevertheless.

I really wonder what the point is in taking 10% off the dlc-content for ETW, compared with all the good FULL games that have been on sale the last few weeks for less then 5 euro they are still way overpriced, I'll wait to see if the prices drop even further after napoleon is released.

Might pick up the alexander expansion for RTW though.

I haven't played it, since it requires Games for Windows Live (doesn't it?) and I can't be bothered using windows for it (since GFWL is not yet working with wine). If I didn't have a download limit (I live in Australia) I might give it a go, but its just not worth it as things stand.

Rome Total War - Gold is $3.50 USD and yet the pack with Alexander is the exact same price. I just picked up that one.

Is there an easy way to make a second desktop shortcut for Barbarian Invasion or have it ask me like it does when I launch it from Steam? Right now the shortcut only launches the base game.

Trine for $5. I recommend this for side scroller fans as this is a side scroller with a bit of a puzzly twist.

@biomedmechstudent, no, it is single player only.

PS:
I am really loving Far Cry 2. Verrrrry glad that I bought it. So far I've clocked in about 11 hours (!) :goodjob:

It says it is coop

but I guess coop as in same computer coop, not online mutliplayer coop.

Wow such a bummer. Know of any mods that allow for online play?

Huh, I never noticed it had that function. I'm not aware of any mods at all. I mean, it's a side scroller that's pretty straight forward. Are you sure you aren't thinking of Torchlight perhaps?

You can play Trine with up to three controllers, all on the same system (ie, one mouse + keyboard, another with a gamepad, etc.)

You know, old-school coop. :P

Empire Total War suddenly costs 6 euros more, still 66% off though as they simply raised the 'original' price.

STALKER: Call of Pripyat is available on Steam for $20 if you already own Steam copies of either Shadow of Chernobyl or Clear Sky.

Is Mount&blade any good? I've seen good reviews online, but a $5 game that isn't even 2 years old yet looks fishy..which reminds me of my purchase of Two Worlds. D:!

If you don't own a copy of Shadow of Chernobyl or Clear Sky but want Pripyat you can just buy Clear Sky and then take the discount on Call of Pripyat, either way comes out to be $30 and that way you get one extra game.

I'm assuming they don't check for the date you bought it, and it's just that you own them.

I don't know about Mount and Blade specifically, but I've made $5-$10 game purchases that I have been much happier with than some $50 games.
