Psssht, considering how much business I've poured into Steam, I expect some leeway, dammit!

I played it on a friend's computer - it was fairly fun enough for a bit, and at that price I didn't think it would've been too bad of a deal. Ah well, bliss...

I liked them both, I kind of wish they had stuck with base building in DOW2 but they were both good in their own right. I have also been looking at Saints Row 2 for a while now, and so the deal really benefits me. If it has some decent length missions for a campaign I think it'll be worth it, because the campaign of RTS games is usually my favorite part. I also play last stand quite a bit with a friend, so the new units could add some fun.

I am also pleased that they are going the expansion route than selling bits and pieces as DLC.

Avoid Saints Row 2, It's a good enough game, but it's been poorly optimized on the PC. Horrendus frame rates especially while driving even on high end systems that are well above the Reccomended specs. With the right setup, you could minimize it, but on most systems the stutter actually makes some of the missions close to impossible,

Plus Volition (Who ported it) has no intention of dealing with the problem, they made an official announcement a while back (Once the reports started coming in of the poor optimization) that they wouldn't be supporting the PC version any longer and at the time were ruthlessly locking and deleting any threads on the official forums that even mentioned the problems or asked about one more patch.

Really? Seems to work fine for me. Of course, I spent years trying to run games with a 64 megabyte video requirement on a computer with a 4 megabyte gpu, so anything above 5 fps seems pretty good to me.

Seriously, though, it seems to run fine.

Civ3 is up on Steam for ?2.99, not worried about spending the money, just concerned about pissing off my ISP, so is this game worth it? I mainly prefer CRPG's ala Sacred and Titan Quest but I don't mind the odd world builder and this seems a fair price.

My computer isn't too good either so I doubt Civ4 or whatever the newest one is will work.

In TQ I'm a female Avenger (Hunting + Earth).

I'm in dire need of armor (I think...) also 'I hate you' only get two points in attribute upon levelling up.

'X' = great use of words, eh? :P
Yeah I got Vista...

Poor you. I managed to destroy Vista within 3 hours of my new(er) PC.

Shattered Horizon requires Vista or "greater"

Well I unfortunately bought it a while ago, the bright side is that I got Chaos Rising, which I was going to most likely buy anyway. Now I am stuck with a barely playable Saints Row 2 though.

I will not be buying another Violition product again.

I haven't had any problems with SR2 whatsoever. No frame drops, no stuttering, nothing (on PC).

It also was on of the funnest games I've ever played. Much more fun than GTA in my opinion.

If you don't own any of the games, hell yes. I have the majority of them and I pretty much payed full price for each one, and they were all worth it.

Spellforce games are 75% off for the weekend.

Considering getting the platinum edition of SF1 or maybe the old edition of SF2. Input to swing me one way to the other would be nice :).
