"Steam Error 15 - unable to obtain information on ...&#3

Sorry if someone's posted this situation in another part of the Skyrim discussions. For the last day or two I've been getting an error on start-up as Steam checks that all mods are up-to-date. It started with one mod, saying it couldn't get information on it but the game would start and play normally anyway. Didn't think anything of it.

Today I un-subscribed from the mod it was having issues with, then re-subscribed to it. Steam could check it now but then suddenly started to have the same issue with another mod.

Same solution: unsubscribed, re-subscribed, Steam seems ok with it.

Now it's saying unable to get information on (gibberish) - error 15. Since none of the other mods are having an issue, the only thing left is the Dawnguard expansion. The game still seems to load up properly and works ok, just odd that this error has started happening. Several people in the mods forums on Steam are also reporting this "error 15" issue, but no one is sure that the code means.

Since it's not breaking the game, not urgent, just wondered if there was a fix for it, or if it's something that Steam themselves broke on their last update.

Try using Nexus to find and install mods.

I never liked Steamworks for mods.
