Wow, £7.49 for Prototype? Tempting, Valve, very tempting.

Alpha Protocol, just as I predicted! :D

And everyone must get Deus Ex if you haven't already. Thou must!

Make a wishlist people!

Everyday they'll choose 30 people and give them their top 5 games in their wishlist. Chances are slim of getting chosen but it's worth a shot.

...
It looks like they're also running a promo where every day, 30 people get the top 5 games on their wishlists. Although the chances of winning that one are infinitesimally low, given that there's 2+ million Steam users out there.
...

Now I get why you can't put packs on your wishlist. On the other hand, you can put games on your wishlist that aren't out yet (like deus ex human revolution and portal 2) and aren't available for preorder yet and don't have a price-tag yet, wonder how they're going to handle that..

I've now put napoleon: total war, dragon age: origins, mount and blade: warband, fallout: new vegas and warhammer 40.000: dawn of war II in the top five of my wishlist (putting some of the cheaper games that I might want to buy sometime a bit lower).

EDIT: regarding deus ex, the pack is being advertised but both games separate are also 75% off, personal tip: dump invisible war, nothing but trouble that one. Just stick to the original.

I dragged and dropped one out of the actual wishlist box and it disappeared.

Or what Terash said...

My guess would be that they'd simply skip that game and pick the next game down. So if, say, the earth shifted on its axis and I won, and Portal 2 was #5 on my wishlist and Fallout: New Vegas was #6, I'd get NV instead of Portal 2. Unless they've devised an ingenious plan to somehow credit the price-tag-less pre-orders to your account.

In other news, Dead Rising 2 and Fallout: New Vegas have somehow mysteriously migrated to the top of my wishlist. ;)

Thanks guys. Will give that a shot.

edit: Actually it appears that I do not have a remove option in my list, though could be due tot he games just now being added.
Also, how can you reorder the list. Valve should give clearing instructions for things.

Reorder the list by drag and dropping the games then click save.

I'm considering either Borderlands or Counterstrike Source. I played Borderlands before but got really bored with it after a while. I hear it's better if you have someone to play it with though. Other than that and Super Meat Boy nothing really interests me in this batch (some of them I already own).

Doe anyone know what the HL2 10 pack contains. When I look at the contents, all I see is HL2 and Lost Coast, and Lost Coast has been a give-away.

I think it is 10 copies of Half-Life 2 so you can gift them to others.

You're welcome. I am pretty sure that is how the other bundles are as well, though 6 pack of Borderlands is excessive since you can only do 4 people at most per game.

It's so you can give extras so when the people you want to play with aren't online. :P

I'd say Prototype is worth $15 bucks. It'll take a week or two to complete, and after you finish your first run through you wont have much left to do, but it's fun and worth $15. That said, there are better games in that deal you can spend money on instead.

Yeah, singleplayer gets boring quick. $10 for the regular game is worth it I suppose, but not if you've already played the singleplayer. Multiplayer is very very fun, however I doubt you want to bother going to the Gearbox forums and finding a group of people to play with. You can play with randoms but they usually use modded weapons which svcks the fun out of everything. Basically, unless you already have a group of friends on Steam who play Borderlands, forget about it.

That's why you convince a few friends to split the six-pack with you :shifty:.

According to the news release you need to have at least 10 games on your STeam Wishlist to be eligible for the giveaway.

Not a sale or deal as such, but I've noticed what seems to be a pricing anomaly:

http://store.steampowered.com/app/17450/ (plain) is $69.99 USD
http://store.steampowered.com/app/901037/ is $79.99 USD
http://store.steampowered.com/sub/4515/ is $109.98 USD
http://store.steampowered.com/app/47810/ is $59.99 USD

Am I missing something? If it is as it appears, my guess is they simply missed one when adjusting prices for Australia.
