Serious Sam HD: The Second Encounter is on sale this weekend, and even free to play until Sunday. I bought it during the last Steam sale and it is pretty fun, even has co-op.

She was eaten by a bear.

Anyway back on topic, is the Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition worth the $10 it costs on Steam? I already have the original version and love it, so I'm wondering if this new version adds enough to justify the price.

It just updates the graphics and sound and adds voiceovers. I quite loved it. There's also a nice function to switch back to the good ol' pixelated look if you so please.

I'm currently vomiting all over the keyboard at the thought of posting this but... but... blegh... Ubisoft's store is having...* gags*... a sale on... on... bleeeeeeeaaaaarrrrgh! :yuck:

Okay, okay, deep breaths...

Just don't get any game released after Settlers 7 and Assassin's Creed 2 as they have that horrific DRM, the thought of which is the cause of my vomit-covered keyboard.

The Rainbow 6 Vegas collection looks really tempting...

Unless it's a "going out of business" fire sale, I'm not interested. :P

I like how the Ghost Recon bundle is the same price as Ghost Recon 2 by itself.

I probably would buy the Vegas bundle if I hadn't already bought Vegas 2 on Steam during their sale.

Was interested in Ghost Recon: AW. But, I don't wanna download anything from Ubisoft.

Eh, I bought AC on Steam a few months back for $5, and I wouldn't install AC2 if Ubisoft payed me $20.

Their DRM is absolute crap.

"Yeah, let's only allow them to play offline single-player only have a constant internet connection! That'll work!"

Really, everyone is overreacting over the drm. Don't you always have an internet connection? I know I do.

It's just bad when Ubi's servers are down.

Hell I don't even have a computer :P

*cough*

It's not so much the constant internet connection that irks me, it's the fact that the save files aren't actually stored on my computer. That means that if I ever do find myself without an internet connection, not only wont I be able to play my Ubisoft games offline, but even if I could, I couldn't even use my save files. Ubisoft's DRM doesn't even try to let you pretend you own the game. Once you have no internet connection Ubisoft takes it's game and it's save files with it.

I'm sorry if I ever feel the urge to play games while on an airplane, or riding in a car, or ANYWHERE where I might not have an internet connection :P.

Well then it's time to enjoy the scenery on your road/air trip. :P

I could see why people are annoyed by it though.

Like Antibody says, that's not even the worst part. Your saves are saved on their servers, you have no freedom. Honestly, all Ubisoft is doing now is forcing you to pay $50 for a game that isn't yours, that they can yank away at any time, and that you have absolutely no control over.
