Steam, etc. Deals!

I'm hoping this last day of sales is good. I've only bought 3 games: Mass Effect, Mass Effect 2, and AudioSurf.

Oh and anybody who bought the THQ pack, or Titan Quest + Expansion when it was on sale, and wants to play Titan Quest with me, hit me up on steam. ID is in sig. (Also want to play DoW 1 and 2).

I'll send a friend request, bought Titan quest in the daily sale (I'm in europe though) been playing a hunter in single player for a couple of hours now, immobilizing creatures in nets and than filling them with arrows. Maybe we could start a titan quest topic here in CD if there are more people interested in trying the multiplayer.. (I've got DoW too, but wouldn't survive online long enough to have a good time).

I've bought:
-Titan quest gold
-Day of Defeat: source
-Men of War gold
-introversion pack (uplink, darwinia, multiwinia and defcon)

for about 21 euros (now if only I could buy time to be able to play them :P)

Wow, Steam dumped about 15 free HL2 mods onto my account, seemingly because I was gifted HL2. Talk about advertising, I thought I had gotten hacked or something at first and the person downloaded a whole bunch of crappy games. Yes, most of the mods look very crappy, if you consider them full-fledged games. When I get my computer back I look forward to removing them from my account...

Anyway, the list of games I got during this sale are:

Gothic II: Gold Edition
Gothic 3
Half-Life
Half-Life 2
Red Faction: Guerrilla
The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom
Trine

Pretty good haul I guess.

Suffca's list of games: A gifted copy of HL! And that's it...

Didn't feel like spending any money, I have enough games as is.

Any thoughts on Civ IV? It seems to have gotten great rankings, but I've never played any of the games before.

edit: Also Killing Floor. That and Civ IV seem to be the only other games here that I'm remotely interested in. I've heard some bad things about Killing Floor, but it seems alright. Anybody have experience with it?

What bad things have you heard?

It added them all to my profile page but not my game library. Pretty annoyed by it as I never even looked at some of the mods. I only bought Counter Strike Source no other Valve games during the sale.

Debating Civ4 complete and Killing Floor still, hopefully I decide soon since it is the last day of the sale.

Just played Titan Quest a bit. Really entertaining for an oldish game. Reminds me of Champions of Norrath/Baldur's Gate.

what annoys me is thta I can't rotate the camera

I think I'm going to pass on Civ IV. I know it's cheap and got great ratings. But idk.

I'm thinking of buying Killing Floor. Seems fun for $5.

Killing Floor is fun, the single player mode will keep you occupied for a while and the multiplayer isn't to bad with random people. I bought it for $20 and didn't regret it.

Even though I've had Steam, I haven't really kept up with it at all since I don't generally download games. I prefer hard copies. Still, I decided to go ahead and buy the THQ pack because it seemed like a pretty awesome deal to me. Which means I finally have S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadows of Chernobyl. And Company of Heroes too. The rest were just bonuses, though Metro 2033 definitely looks interesting.

Which I gave you! :stare:

I was gonna buy Overlord for one of my friends, but EA stole one of my dollars from my gift card from a failed transaction. Dammit.

Add one more to the list for me: broke down and split a Borderlands Four Pack with some friends. Steam has gotten me hooked with all these deals. I fear for my soul.

I'm so conflicted about whether to get Borderlands on Steam.

If it is replayable then I'd want disc especially if modding for it gets stronger.

thoughts?

I'm pretty happy even though I'm a bit broke now.

Got Torchlight for only $10 which is somethign I've been eyeing for the past month but couldn't justify paying $20 for it. I also got Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 which is also something I've been wanting, only $10 as well, and that's a lot cheaper than $30 which is it's original price so I had to get it. I also got this Avencast game cause it was only $2.50 and people said it was fun. So yeah pretty happy. Now i just have to hope it plays on my PC.

Does anyone have sound problems with Red Faction Guerilla?

There's a very loud engine noise all the time, I can't hear what anyone says to me at all.

It's an audio problem.

For some stupid reason, RF: G doesn't support 5.1 so you need to change it to something else in Windows or w/e it is that you used. I just used stereo.

When I bought Flotilla, I thought it would be good.

Somehow, I managed to fail the tutorial, which is supposed to be impossible to fail.

Why did they give me the mac versions anyway?
