Oops.

Yeah - can I gift the mac versions to a friend with a mac and keep the pc versions?

Why did they give me the mac versions anyway?

No, for some reason. They gave it to you so that if you have a Mac, you don't need to buy the same game twice.

"for some reason"? It's a pretty clear reason. You bought a multi-platform game, not two copies of one game on different platforms.

I figured they'd do an encore sale for the last day, but still. I am disappoint, Steam. Then again maybe I shouldn't complain, with the haul I've got:

Bioshock 2
Avencast: Rise of the Mage
Silent Hill: Homecoming
Puzzle Kingdoms
Episodes from Liberty City
Numen: Contest of Heroes
Prototype
The Misadventures of P.B. Winterbottom
A Farewell to Dragons
Splinter Cell: Double Agent
Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
Legendary
Aquaria
- and the complete Introversion Pack (Uplink, DEFCON, Darwinia/Multiwinia)

...Yeah, I'm done buying games until the Christmas sale rolls around. :P Maybe my wallet will have recovered by then. (Actually, I got all those games for just a little over $100USD. That'd normally buy me what, two games at Best Buy?)

Does anyone have sound problems with Red Faction Guerilla?

There's a very loud engine noise all the time, I can't hear what anyone says to me at all.

I have a different problem, the game doesn't [censored] work.

When the first mission of the campaign starts, the bottom portion of my characters coat bugs out and then dissapears, and I can't move or do anything at all. The game is basically unplayable, I've yet to find a fix. That is the most broken console port I've ever tried to play, and I actually regret spending 5 euro on it.

Anyway, I bought Indigo Prophecy, Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast, Tales of Monkey Island (all 5 episodes, played them and they were great, but impossible without some googling :P ), Anno 1404 and the Witcher. I've heard mixed things about the witcher, but since it was cheap I figured I might as well get it and see which camp I agree with.

All I bought was Thief: Deadly Shadows. I'm glad they didn't really have any deals that I was interested in other than that. I have plenty of games as it is.

I'm debating Jedi Outcast...$10 is steep for a game that old...

The complete pack is only $20, which means you get the first 2 games effectively for free (if you don't have them already).

Totally worth it though.

For months I've been considering getting Dark Forces II, but I the Steam version is massively [censored] up because they left out the music.

Suppose I bought the Borderlands Four Pack, and sent the extra copies out to my friends. Further suppose that one of them deleted the email without even opening it, then proceeded to empty his email account's trash.

Is there any way for him to get access to the game? Steam seems to indicate that I can resend after 24 hours (to prevent spam) but is there any way from inside Steam that he can activate it now?

Not sure. If he missed the pop-up on Steam, then the email is the way to go.
Might have to wait a day.

Open up Steam, at the top click on Friends>Add a Friend. You can type in someone's Steam ID here. Note: there's a difference between Steam IDs and someone's profile name. My Steam ID is NoobiusMaximo, and my profile name is Noobius Maximo the Noob. Feel free to add me.

I think all you have to do is search for a username, go to their profile and add them as a friend. Search "xXAntibodyXx" and add me, and then go look at the "BGSF Members" group I'm a part of by going to my profile, and look for other people from here you want to add.

Edit: Ninja'd by... a good amount of minutes. Guess that's what I get for not refreshing the page...

Either going to be extremely complicated, or extremely dumbed-down (ie to Bengals level). I might still try it out though.
