Steam Fallout GOTY keeps on crashing every 3 min : Fallout 3

I was gifted this game by my fiance since I have always wanted my own copy for the PC. They purchased it through steam and I tried playing it today and no matter what I do, the damn thing just keeps on crashing. It's extremely frustrating. I haven't even gotten past the G.O.A.T since it's that bad.

For starters, I've already tried to change my settings around. I'm running it on medium Detail and I do not have a multi-core processor. I've tried running it in fullscreen and it still crashes. And I messed around with that GFWL (Game for Windows Live) crap and when I tried signing in with my account, it wanted a registry key for the game .........?? When it was a gift on steam?? Well I tried to launch the GFWL marketplace and nothing happens.

I don't even know.

I have Windows 7 Premium edition.

Intel® Core™ i3 CPU processor. 530 @ 2.93GHz 2.93GHz

Please run a dxdiag.exe that will give us some more information on your system and to see if it is missing something.

My feeling is that your videocard might not be good enough to run this game well if at all.

So it's capable of running Fallout New Vegas and various other games on my steam library except 3? Huh.

My fiance has Windows Vista with an older graphics card and it runs better on theirs than my newer computer.

You are going to have issues with the game since the card is using system memory and it looks like it is using a lot of system memory and you only have 4 gigs and the card is looking like it is taking 1.5 gigs

Also your system is a multicore system since it has 4 processors so I suggest to use the multicore tweaks since that does help solve crashing on systems with more than 2 cores.

If that does not work you might have to lower some of the settings in the game launcher as well in the game menu.
