Is Steam going to stop me from playing F:NV because I don't

Greetings, fellow mutants of the wastes ...

I currently live and work overseas. I was planning on pre-ordering the North American version the Collector's Edition of Fallout: New Vegas and having it shipped over here.

However, after skimming the forums here, I'm concerned about Steam/Steamworks/whatever's online registration.

Question: If I buy the North American version of the game, have it shipped over, and install it on my computer here, am I going to be able to play the game?

My guess would be it shouldn't be a problem, however I would suggest contacting Steam directly.

Steam has support in most countries I think. I don't know where you are from, but I am from Brazil and I can use steam perfectly fine, I can pre-order and buy any game I want in it.
The only thing that could annoy you is that if your game ships on 19th (USA release date) you might only be able to play it on 22nd that is when it releases world-wide. But I am not sure that Steam will block it.

I'm pretty sure as long as you can connect to Steam(in other words, have an Internet connection), you'll be fine.

@Mace_Ironhead
I had the same question because I live here in Austria (german speaking) and like to play it in the original language. I got the answer from CCNA who asked for me that there are no problems.
Only if you buy the game with a local credit card on steam you get the local language version as download. Your North American copy stays a North American version after registering.

If you can buy FONV in your country, you can play it and with any language you want,
unless you want the German version...

Here is the deal with Steam and Languages.

If you buy the retail copy of the game, it will install in the language that is on the disk, no matter where you are. You can later on decide to download and install the game in another language through Steam if you choose to. You can't have both languages installed at the same time (as far as I understand it)

If you download the game from Steam, you can pick the language you want, no matter where you are. Some countries that limit game content may have some restrictions on this. Check your local laws and or Steam for details on that.
