Steam GOTY Morrowind handle mods alright?

Post » Tue Nov 29, 2011 2:44 am

I owned Morrowind and all the expansions back in the day but my CDs are long since gone and I wouldn't mind owning the game again on Steam. Its on sale for just 9.99 but I am concerned that getting all the mods I will need will work alright on the steam version. I know Skyrim was all set for modding but I am concerned about an older game like this.
Anyone know how well it handles all the mods out there?

Modding Morrowind on Steam is alright although you will have to change the .bsa file's dates from 2009 to 2002. This is extremely easy, all you have to do is follow the steps on this web page: http://www.overclock.net/t/528344/solution-for-morrowind-on-steam-not-modding

Even the Morrowind Graphics Extender is ok? I heard it had issues with the Steam version. I'll check that out. Thanks.

You have to disable "Steam community in-game" for MGE to work.

The Morrowind Code Patch can instantly re-date the BSAs for you, making it much easier than that method.
