Steam Morrowind GOTY CS weat errors.

Post » Thu May 26, 2011 11:18 pm

I installed Morrowind GotY edition off Steam and wanted to get back into modding. However when I run the construction set with Tribunal and/or Bloodmoon I get a series of errors including "Chunk size 10 too big in chunk WEAT_ID in form REGN_ID. Max size is 8, data truncated to "# "."

All googling told me to do was to install the games in the right order. But Steam doesn't allow you to change the order, it installs it all for you. I'm assuming they do it in the right order. I installed the Construction Set off the disk I still have in my room (because it doesn't come with the Steam version).

I tried just enabling yes to all. However the CS simply crashes when it is "done" loading everything. It works fine with just the Morrowind ESM loaded. However some of the mods I'd like to updated to the current game version require Tribunal. I don't think the game installed in the wrong order as I started a new game and went to Solstheim and there didn't seam to be any errors. Its only the Construction Set that crashes.

The CS is version 1.2.0722 Master/Plugin Version 1.20

Perhaps the CS is simply incompatible with the Steam version. Has anyone else seen this behaviour?

Thanks! I guess I'll have to dig around for my bloodmoon disk.

That is I assume as when you install Bloodmoon it patches the construction set exe to support the changes to the file format. It was modified slightly in Bloodmoon to support more weather types.

Thats all well and nice, if you only wanna mod with morrowind and tribunal. If you wanna use bloodmoon you gotta have the bloodmoon .exe as I explained in the other thread.
