Got my email from GmG about the Season Pass (first Season Pass I've ever ordered) this morning while at work. Logged into my GmG account and saw both the Season Pass and game key were there. Got home around 1600 and entered both into Steam. Did not get the Pre-Load option so I decided to swing by the LGS to put more money down on the new firearm I ordered and by the time I got home the Pre-Load button was there. I was then greeted by, "Complete in 4 hours". I just finished downloading.

Tuesday night at 2300 I'll fire up my computer and let it unlock.

I'm having trouble loading the store, my library comes up alright, but the load circle just keeps spinning. Could it be my connection or just an influx of people?

Thank God. This was the only reason I preordered on steam. If I hadn't, it would take eons to install and download from a physical copy bought on release day. Now, with my thrift store level connection might allow me to play when it's unlocked.

Know that if you have over 2MB/s that I well and truly hate you, and wish Australia would hurry up with updating our crappy internet. We are so damn backwards

Given I am getting the pipboy edition I reckon it will end up taking between 4-5 hours for me to download it, which is fine as I play to sleep once I get back from the launch

Downloading now. Not even at 1%. Steam's servers must be getting hit hard.

Just finished preload in just under 30 mins. I'm now golden for midnight Monday B)

Assuming I don't have an extra day one patch weighing some 30 GBs that is

No. And same for the pipboy edition gamers as well. This is why I opted for the DLC v. my traditionally preferred DVD method. This has to be the superior method given the way Beth structured future DLC through the season pass. Early next year, I'll buy the season pass. So then whatever DLC I want to add to the game will be a simple mouse click away. No messing around with the complicated logistics of getting keys etc. etc.

So I assume it's regional? Because you can't predownload here in Germany.

I can preload it just fine. Going strong at 5.5 MB/s. Restart steam and try again.

Oups, my bad, I checked by using right clicking and nothing appeared. Obviously I completely failed to see the preload button in the main window.

Btw. ~27 GB is HUGEEE!

Nah, that's not what I ment. I have a download speed of 200 Mb, so that's no problem. I just see how this game is almost double as much in quantity then Skyrim (which had ~ 17GB?).

Well it finished. Total STEAM download was only 23.8 GB. I wonder how much more needs to be downloaded?

Wow.

I just woke up, and now suddenly the pre-load is live and everyone already downloaded it?

Just started it here, not hitting my max speed of 1mb/s, looks like this will take a while but so will the release so i'l just wait.

Took me 12 hours to pre-load starting at the moment it went live and it took up most of my bandwidth so I couldn't even use an Internet browser. O_o

Thank God Bethesda and Steam allowed pre-loading of this game. :fallout:

So anyone else finished with the STEAM download? What size did you get? Mine was 23.8 GB.
