So I started using steam for mac and i bought CSS+Garry's mod. Garrys mod was faster but when it reached 99%, it says "download paused." how do I resume the download. also, CSS did the download paused automatically but it resumed. why wont the garrys mod resume?

I'm not entirely sure but I think because Garry's Mod uses assets from CSS (if installed) it won't be fully installed until CSS is installed. Garry's Mod is weird that way. If you have one of the major source games installed (CSS, TF2, HL2, L4D, etc..) it will use assets from that game.
