If there was a ReadMe on the posting I would read it, however all there is an explicit step by step of what Blade of Mercy did. There is nothing stating ReadMe or what the acronym is any where on the initial posting. So Tomlong, if my curiosity bothers you so greatly just simply ignore me and I will wait for another person who is more patient with the less informed individuals such as myself.

When and where does it crash? Are the crashes persistent?
Have you used BOSS to sort load order and read the log carefully?

Random crashes are to be expected, unless they are too frequent. How long do you usually play before crashing?
Persistent crashings at the same spot are worse - that usually means a corrupted spawn.
Also, check how much Video RAM you use, by writing TDT followed by SDT 13 in the console. If the VRAM usage is close to or more than the RAM of your video card, then crashes are inevitable.

Ill check VRAM soon, I usually play 30 minutes - 2hrs. But crashes are more frequent near that area

I have noticed something strange, I CTD every time when I'm trying to get to Hammerfall Pass from Mount Colovia. There is something what causes crashes near that location... What is it ?

...this is not a crash thread. Try cleaning your plugins. It could be a dirty edit. Otherwise try http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1033875-tracking-down-a-corrupt-spawn-point/. This is a general crash that should be in its own thread. This thread has increased two pages the is past week. The first thread for this guide will have lasted much longer...going to have to re-link and bookmark again...

About the Activating one by one, Would activating Oblivion.esm with its unofficial patch be required aswell?

Also is Activating FCOM pure first better, or just going down the list?

By Blade of Mercy's (explicit) instructions. You should activate plugins one at a time UNTIL you get to dependent groups (i.e., FCOM.) Yes, I also think that the UOP is VERY, VERY important, but it is not as if the game depends on it to work. Therefore, the answer to the first question is no.

Edit: To reiterate, you should turn on all of FCOM or all of BC when you get to the respective mods' first plugin (first ESM.)

Sure, no problem. If you want another reference, use this guide I just created. The second to last part goes through steps #49 and #50 of this guide and a little further: http://sites.google.com/site/oblivionpoinfo/walkthroughs/baininstallguide. Do not second guess yourself too much, but I guess getting all of the steps right in this guide is pretty important.

What is "# Click?" Why are you asking about Wrye Bash in this thread? Why are any of these last questions in this thread, Tomlong? I don't know, Tomlong... Oh, right, what do you mean nothing happens? You right-click and go to Profiles...and? This is an old feature of Wrye Bash. When you right-click on the tab right above the list of save files, nothing happens?

Okeydokey,

I'm at step #49 now and have unchecked everything except oblivion.esm.

Now as I progress down the LO do I activate all esps that pertain to the esms? for example, GTaesgard2.esm is the next esm right below oblivion.esm, so do I activate GTAesgard2.esp AS WELL as GTAesgard2.esm? same goes for Windfall.esm (next one down) and so on. Or is it just a matter of working down the LO one at a time and the esps of the already active esms just get activated as I go down the list? Thanks for reading everybody. About the Activating one by one, Would activating Oblivion.esm with its unofficial patch be required aswell?

Also is Activating FCOM pure first better, or just going down the list?



By Blade of Mercy's (explicit) instructions. You should activate plugins one at a time UNTIL you get to dependent groups (i.e., FCOM.) Yes, I also think that the UOP is VERY, VERY important, but it is not as if the game depends on it to work. Therefore, the answer to the first question is no.

Edit: To reiterate, you should turn on all of FCOM or all of BC when you get to the respective mods' first plugin (first ESM.)

People keep asking...Yes, activate entire mods one at a time. Maybe Blade of Mercy needs to clarify that section...and please remove IWR and install AWLS. IWR is not nearly as optimized. That is like volunteering FPS to the garbage.
