Just wondering if anyone can report on what 3D options there are in the full game. On the PC demo you had to have an NVidia card or something to be able to utilise it (the 3D option was greyed out otherwise), which is ridiculous.

I would love to know from anyone with an older ATI card (4xxx series for example) if there is an option for side-by-side viewing?

Also, how does it look? Is it obvious that it is using depth maps to create the effect?

3d is only capable on the 5xxx and 6xxx series ATi/AMD GPU.

I use a nvidia card and the nvidia 3d glasses, and it look perfectly, they use the Z layer, its the same process used in 3d post production movies, but in the movies they let the pc (usually after effects) guess the depth, but the cryengine3 render this layer map, so you can tell no diference between rendering 2 separated cameras, and there is no perfomance lost (I lost less than 1fps) I hadnt any kind of headache and from the few games that are perfectly in 3d it's tthe first that I havent see high drops in the fps

I have an ATi HD 5870 and a 3DTV and the option is greyed out for me. The back of the box says nothing about requiring a certain card for 3d. Seriously, what gives? I really want to play it in 3D.

Now I'm really mad. I own a laptop with an ATI HD 5870 on board too and cannot play the game in 3D! This is ridiculous! Is it that hard to provide a side by side mode? And why it is not written on the game box? I wanted to play this game in 3D and I'm forced to play in 2D - this svcks! Can you and will you do anything about it?
