Sterile graphics and Sims NPCs

Post » Thu Nov 26, 2015 11:56 am

Sterile graphics and those Sims NPCs will create an amazing contrast when they reveal the level of gore and destruction that is in, I bet.

It is my theory that this trailer was edited in this way(showing no destruction or gore) to hide that so the reveal of destruction and dismemberment systems cause maximum level of shock for gamers.

What do you think?

The color palette gives me a real Pixar vibe. Which would really only amplify the gruesome dark comedy. :P

We still haven't gotten a good enough look at character models, yet, especially not faces. That's what I want to see up close.

I think the use of the term "sterile" is relative, as I think the graphics are looking pretty good in comparison to past Fallout games. The lighting alone, the less form fitting clothing displayed.

The only parts in the trailer with sterile graphics and Sims characters were the pre-war scenes. I doubt the actual game will have those.

this is what im hoping. you know those little vault boy cartoons we get on perks and such? I'm thinking they're trying to get the graphics to be in line with that, artistically.

For me....

....I always seen that trailer and it gives me a huge feels to 70's/60's vibe, by the color pallet they used. Also looks very comic like.. if the gore it will be a thing that stand out from the beautiful life color pallet then, it is obvious why they have chosen that particular aspect for this game.

In comparison to F:NV, which was behind its time in 2010, it's pretty good. Definitely. But that's nothing to be proud of. It's been 5 years.

Bethesda promised destruction in Skyrim(remember Todd's, "You can destroy this mill and the local economy will suffer," speech?). Maybe they'll give us some this time.

Yeah, there might be a surprise waiting for us there too.

I think the graphics are amazing. Maybe I should have said "art style". It is very reminiscent of video game CGs from 90s, like Fallout's own CG cutscenes.

You can see inner parts of the armor here. Bethesda don't do things for show, that's in the game. Imagine armor plates deforming and coming off part by part.

I hope the blood doesn't look like ketchup. My only worry about the color palette.
