If I give my steward a staff will it be recharged or will it be useless after awhile.I can't remember.

It will be useless, followers can fill soul gems but cannot recharge enchanted items.

If the staff is their's to begin with will it recharge on it's own?

I would think its the same for that aswell, i see no reason it would be diffwrent for any staff or follower.

They did nothing, once the weapon was out of charge, it is out of charge. How had is that exactly to understand?

I guess it's pretty HAD to understand someone having a weapon that becomes useless to them very quickly.Maybe it's just me........

They were not programmed to recharge their weapon, aside from that, recharging something is likely onl6 possible for the player.
